Just receiver my new building. The red front was in schambles and pieces fell out of the box as I opened it. Has anyone else had this problem? Larry.

Is the dealer that you bought it from aware of the situation and going to replace it ?
 
I received mine about two month ago. The polystyrol packaging was in pieces which is very clever because now I won't be able to sell in on!
Nothing of the building was damaged, but the quality ade is very bad. Nothing is straight and the lamp posts were bend and IMO are too small in scale.

After the Lichtenfelde Barracks I was expecting more for my money (= EUR 180 + shipping)! It was certainly my last CS purchase!

I had similar problems with the packaging in a right old state and, dreaded what had happened to the building. The building itself was fine once unwrapped.

I have contacted the dealer who had a good reputation in the past. He indicated that he would call Collectors Showcase today with the problem and it would be up to them to replace it. Is this what is actually happened in the past? Would very much appreciate any comments/advice from any of you. Highest Regards from Mt. Vernon, Va. (Near George Washingtons Home). Larry.

The dealer that you got it from should replace it and then he should deal with Collectors Showcase himself ! If they can't do that for you I would change who
you buy from !
 
I have had only a couple of things not right from CS and both times they were sorted fast. One was sorted directly from Brian himself at much hastle and probably expense to himself and, the other time from the dealer I used while they stocked CS. Mind, they said they would contact Brian also about the issue I had with one of the products.

The after sales experience has never been something I have had to fault. If your dealer is contacting Brian then he will sort this issue out for you. Not sure why your dealer seems unwilling to just send you another or, refund you seems the easiest way forward there must be a reason but, I am sure if you speak with them again they will make it clear why this is happening.

My goodness, its a non-starter just call us asap and we'll get a new piece out to you today if you like, its just not an issue.

The most important thing is that you have an excellent TCS experience, that's all that matters.

You have great customer service Brian. You get your hands dirty and actually communicate with the collector that has the problem. I like that. Keith

The customer in question here is one of mine.

I attended the Annandale Toy Soldier Show on Saturday and hand delivered the item to him, he had preordered it along with several other items.

He emailed me yesterday to inform me the building was damaged, I emailed him back and told him I'd take care of it.

So to answer your question Wayne; yes, I am aware of the situation and I am taking care of it.

I emailed Brian first thing this morning and told him what happened, he asked for the customers address and is shipping out a new one today.

This is how Brian handles situations like this; he ships a replacement direct to the customer.

So Mitch, I was not unwilling to replace it or refund his money; he did not ask for a refund, he asked for a replacement.

So Wayne, it is not up to me to replace it and it got resolved less than 24 hours later.

There is no need for him to find another dealer to buy from.

But thanks for your concern.

I was not aware this was anything to do with you and, my post was not really against the dealer in question at that time!! It was just more informing him (the customer) to speak with them again for clarity and, based on what was said by the poster asking for I suppose assistance. I did clearly explain that this had happened to me previously.

Warrior is the man! Best dealer out there and a great guy. Knows all there is to know in this business and despite being the busiest guy at the shows will always make time to talk with you. One of the highlights of the shows for me is buying from his tables. Shows wouldnt be the same without him. There was no need for this thread because he already took care of the problem

Sorry to sound like I was sticking my nose in someone elses business. The tone of the thread made it sound as if the buyer was unaware of what was going on by his question. Warrior (George) you clearly gave the other side of the story and it is quite evident some top rate customer service is occuring all around.
Even Brian got on here and personally gave info to resolve everything. The customer seems to be well taken care of !!!!

Understood and I appreciate very much the comment you made about "If your dealer is in contact with CS, it will get straitened out" and I also appreciate your comment about you had a problem, but it was taken care of.

The bottom line is the issue has been taken care of to the customers satisfaction, which in the end is all that matters.............

I would like to thank Brian and my very honorable and superb Dealer for taking care of this situation imediately. Really raises my opinion (although I have always respected my Dealer) of the service and products provided by both. Thanks Brian for the replacement as I was very disapointed when I opened the box. Highest Regards, Larry.
 
That is what I call service . Will have to try your TS's Brian. You can expect my 1st CS purchase soon !!!!!! (Will find out who the closest dealer is in my part of the world )
