I just unpacked the Victoria Cross "Saving Capt. Webb." This is one nice set. It is very much like the stuff they were turning out in the Durbar series!1999 2000 . The gloss on the horse was a little off but other than that it is very nice. Kilted Vampire Bite of Approval. MUAhahahhahhahahaaaaaaaaaaa

WELL...those new Britains certainly does make life more difficult for me. Now I have to figure out which bank is most likely not to recognize me in a mask :p Or, maybe I should sell a kidney or my only son:eek:

Man those look great. I just received the new ACW sets 17835, and 17744. I have to say that these are just some of the best civil figures I have ever collected. The painting is the best Britain's has ever released, and the sculpting is amazing. I have never seen rifles this detailed in a mass produced soldier before. Britain's please keep it up ! I can't wait for more new releases.

Gents,

Looks like another good start to the year for Britains.:) :) :)

Thanks to desk11desk12 for posting the images.

At present I have been busy collecting the ACW and WWI collections, but have also bought the first Nap set, so with these sets it looks like its going to be a expensive Spring (K&C, HB, NMA and EofI also to buy). The scenics look particularly good and I am impressed with the poses and also the casualty figures which make the diorama buffs (like me) very happy. :D It will be interesting to see if the K&C and Britains ACW figures are compatible.

Anyone know if there is going to be any new additions to the Deetail range this year, particularly the Napoleonics.

Thanks to Mr Osen and Mr Walker for improving what is already a great collection. Is there any new series coming out to collect this year?

Rgds

Andy

I like the way these look and the sculpting is getting much better but my criticism is that if you look at ONTC, Britains World War I and these, many of the poses are similar.

The new britains stuff looks great!!! I noticed a few things i,ve been waiting to see made in there like the french trooper with the axe which was needed in the first north gate set as it was Lt. legros with a sappers axe who led the way through the gates.
The french flag bearer looks great also and I like the new scenics and wall scetions for the hougomont but the new north gate section is incorrect and has that roof section build onto it??? there was a small shed built onto the great barn similar to this but it was behind this section of the gate. I,ll stick to my old north gate set!
I like the clothes line idea and this was something that I had thought of tring to make myself in the past. They have some great ideas with the scenic stuff and it looks like the new britains is going to be a very improved company.
I can,t wait to see what else they come up with, it looks like they have been listening to the requests of there costumers.
