Happy New Year Brendan,
Although I may be a "BIT" bias towards these sets ... ... I consider the new K&C USMC series one of the best ever -- Sculpted, Designed and Produced and delivered.
It appears that this series has many legs and a (hopefully) long life. The possibilities for figures and vehicles are endless. Add to this the abundance of new K&C Japanese sets (JN) and you have a tremendous opportunity to create powerful dioramas and scenes.
I have been, mainly, a 18th / 19th century collector (K&C AWI, JJD FWI/1812), but when these sets appeared I was hooked at first sight. ^&grin.
Now, I am loving the JN series, the USN series as well as this new USMC sets, all somewhat connected.
It appears that the collector acceptance has been tremendous so I don't think you should resist the temptation any longer.

We have K&C USMC sets!!!
ENJOY!

Thanks Larry! Happy New Year to you as well. Like you, I principally collect JJD's War of 1812 series and K&C's Napoleonics. I have a small sampling of figures from other eras as well. I've been thinking about delving into some new subject matter and this seems to be the most likely choice. The sculpts and painting are just fantastic.
Cheers,
Brendan
