Well, since no one else is going to show their age here it is.
The movie was "Shoulder Arms" by First National Pictures. It was made in 1918 and released mere days before the armistice of the Great War. The film starred of course but was also directed by Charlie Chaplin. It also starred Albert Austin, Henry Bergman, Sydney Chaplin, Bud Jamison, Park Jones, Edna Purviance.
It was a nice piece and became a favorite of men returning home.
