Hi here is a sculpt of a grenadier of the Grande Armee of France fighting his way in Spain or Russia. Looks like he is about to finish somebody off.

Pardon a simple question but why is there a blanket wrapped around the hat? I do not collect Naps, but this is an excellent sculpt.

Hi Benjamin, it's a protective leather cover. Its basically a shako cover as you see on lots of naps but the difference is the soldier is wearing a bearskin underneath. It is not something you see very often in nap ts wearing a bearskin but when on campaign the soldiers would cover their hats to help waterproof them and protect them from the elements.

I hope this explains it a bit for you. I will pass your kind comment on to my sculptor.

Hi here are a few pictures of the soldier now painted. I will begin a pre order in around 3 weeks. I am especially pleased with how the trousers/pants turned out, the painter has really captured that dirty campaign look which i love.
I took a few of the pictures outside to get the benefit of natural light. I hope you like them.
