Those are great Michael. That mounted Templar is a nice looking piece.

Michael,

Congratulations on completing your Crusades collection. Richard the Lionheart and the Templar on the rearing up horse are great pieces and Saladin is less dramatic, but pretty nice too. I can't wait to see what is just around the corner for us for this series from K&C.

Nice additions Michael. I'm with you, I've never regretted making Crusaders one of the lines that I focus on.
Which reminds me....where are the reinforcements-did I miss something about this during the Chicago show ???

Mike...I don't think there were any Crusaders at the show...maybe one...and I can't find the thread I'm referring to...but I seem to remember someone addressing this and saying that 2011 would unveil new Crusaders...I think I even suggested some poses...hehehe...but I can't find the thread...

Here's the guy I saw...but I seem to remember an announcement about some coming soon...maybe in 2011...

Yea....he's a rough looking fellow...I want him for sure...I swear he looks like he was modeled after a character in the Mad Max movie....when I saw his face and hair...that's exactly what I thought...

Sounds like your Crusaders are in a holding position my friend. :) Sounds like you are where I am with my AWI figures-

You should post some larger pictures where we can see the larger drama that is Mike's Crusader collection, play out.

These are some magnificent figures- I don't know anything about the Crusades and even if I did, just couldn't afford to get them- still, they are a sight to behold when all spread out on a table.

Chris...I have collected all the K&C's Crusader/Saracens available so far...

with the exception of MK070...MK071...MK072...which are not my favorite sculpts and the 2 tents...I did buy a Schleigh tent and worked it over and since there is not enough room for any more on the table...I never bought the K&C tents...

this was the second series that appealed to me...after the Rorke's Drift diorama which you can see in the background of one of these photos...

I will continue to collect the K&C Crusader/Saracen series as more figures are released and promise after I finish my Legion foam fort that I will start playing with these more and taking more pictures...this series is "in hold" like you say for right now...but I have all the props and figures to take some great shots and set up some cool battles...

I made this castle by hand...brick by brick...I cast each stone from molds in my garage...designing...building and painting it...this was a labor of love and my first attempt at making a building...I actually made 4 other buildings (not shown) and the bridge on the table...I built the battering ram and the ballista by hand...it really deserves more attention than I have been giving it...

I made the table that it sits on by hand...stained it and varnished myself...for all the work I put into this...it holds as special place in my heart...

here are some random pictures...nothing special...right now everything is just thrown on the table...I have intended on finishing the groundwork and staging some diorama photos for some time now...now that my series collecting is complete...I don't have many excuses...

I even stole all the palm trees off my castle diorama for my Nile series...but I promise I will get into playing with this in the very near future...
