Good news for Medieval Crusades Collectors,

Check out the First Legion web site. They have just added images of 7 more Crusaders for their Crusades line. There are three more Templars. One is dead. There is an archer and an Italian Militia spearman, one new Teutonic Knight and a dead Hospitaller. I'm anxious for mounted figures and the enemy.
 
I like how these new paint jobs allow so much variety for different collectors. I also think these Crusaders are just the beginning for upcoming new items...

Great looking figures, once again congrats to FL, maybe I should only collect them and Imperial...:rolleyes:

Well crap (lol)....I haven't even ordered the most recent new batch of FL Crusader figs to come out and here come these beauties. I really like all the casualties that are coming out along with great action poses.
Another 'itch to be scratched'...well done FL.

Really looking forward to the Saracen releases and then some siege equipment.
These figures do go well with K&C..........
Because they are significantly more expensive then K&C I use them for accent or to add variety.
Some great dioramas are in the works!
 
There are a few that are very tempting, even more tempting than the NAPs. IMO the Crusader line allows more expression of detail than the NAPs or WW2.

The Crusaders just keep coming and coming and now we're told there will be continued releases all through 2011. Very exciting! Thank you First Legion!

While I must say I was not thrilled about the mug on CUR006 ;) I got him anyway and he looks better in person . He is still not my favorite of the first batch his mug looks intense to say the least :eek: think your about to stick a spear in someones gut and you may have a bit of a crazed look too ;)

About your comment regarding the new batch could you be more specific ?? I just don't see it.... or maybe it was just a little shot at First Legion ;) I think they call it baiting but what the heck I'm game ;) . Could you please be specific like figure number .. Thanks Gebhard
 
Hi The Templar,

If you do have pictures of the faces of your figures please do post them. I was going to jump on the crusaders but I was a little bit hesitant.. Starting a new range always is !

I have to chose between crusaders and AWI so that would be of great help.

Could you please show me some close-ups...I have been looking to supplement my K&C's now that I am all caught up...

I don't know but if these are Zombies, I hate to think what the other offerings in this period resemble.:eek::p:D I think the faces are among the best features and I much prefer the ones without full helms. For example I absolutely love CUR008 and 0017. They have tough and very believable faces and do not look like over fed manikins. Sometimes comparisons are complicated by exposure to earlier unfortunate examples.

Yes, i´m serious!

Look at these eyes!

OK - they might be great "live" - i don´t know. If they are - i think the pics should have been changed.

But with these eyes - until further - i´ll keep my money!

I would even be afraid passing them in my cabinet! :D

I you like them - well, that´s great. Pls. buy all you want and be happy with them! I might even buy one with a helmet or eyes closed! ;)

The only reason i can see about the eyes
is if they are looking up to an upcomming sarasen rider
and even then????

I just recieved my first set of First Legion Crusaders....These are without a doubt some of the "best figures" I have ever seen...I have placed an order for a few more....If you're a Crusader Fan or thinking of becomming one; these figures are superb....First Legion Crusaders are simply fantastic,,, incredible detail and paint....WOW
