:) I just got to see the NEW DAK-AFRIKA KORPS Sets, from Collector's Showcase, which was at the Chicago OSTN Toy Show! They are 1/30th Scale Size, and they're BEAUTIFUL! Only wish that they will do much More , on the Infantry and a PAK 40-Team? I was hoping ANDY, would have thought -up, this Particular 88th Gun Crew Set, Earlier, its FANTASTIC!

At the Chicago Show, I looked at the Collector's Showcase DAK sets and they are not 1/30 scale -- they are closer to 1/24 scale or the old Elastolin figures.:)

I agree with Steven here...The 88 was excellent, and perhaps a tad over 1/30 scale also. The figures were much larger than most of the K&C WWII figures and it would be a problem trying to use them in a 1/30-28th scale display. I understand that the figures that have not been put into production will be scaled down closer to the 1/30-28th range that many collect now. I am not sure which sets are already manufactured right now, although I understand that Rick Berry of MichToy just spoke to him so they may be able to clarify things when Rick and Doug get back from the I-Hobby expo in Chicago this weekend.
Hope this helps, Ken Osen/ONWTC/Hudson & Allen Studio

But the figures are so ugly and zombie like.Sorry but not a patch on K&C.

I agree with Steven and Ken.

The 88 Flak Gun is cool since it's the most current gun of its kind in recent years and probably can be matched up well with KC DAK figures (e.g. 10.5 gun crew specifically the gun crew).

However, the Collector's Showcase DAK 88 crew is bigger than 1/30 and yes too zoombie like for my test.

:) Hello Ken Osen! I spoke with Collector Showcase President; Brian Levy, and he assures me, that the Future DAK 2007 Sets will be 1/30th Scale Size Figure's! I Personnaly love the Figure Pose's; the Faces will be Corrected, in this NEW Batch, and I hope maybe you Ken, and other Toy Soldier Companies, will follow soon in Producing the N. Africa WW2 Series?

Well you need to be patient John. North Africa/Italy/Sicily or Crete will eventually be addressed by OWNTC or W.Britain...but you can pretty much plan on it being in 1/32.

Ken & John,

Just to clarify some things: we have completely rescaled ALL our figures to 60mm or 1/32nd scale proper. So scale has been completely addressed and they are a perfect fit with complimentary product lines. Also for DAK we have added a Mark I with full turret interior as well as an R75.

In regards to the faces, we resculpted some heads and have boosted the saturation on our paint a bit. The set is awesome and currently in manufacture. Estimated arrival of sets is March.

Ken and John I appreciate all of your support during this period. Ken especially your kind words at Chicago. Best regards and let me know if you need any more info or clarification.

Brian
