Another new del Prado offering: The Colonial Collection
Three figures from their latest collection. I don't know when these will be available; they will initially be sold via news stands in Europe then hopefully in the States shortly thereafter. 1:32 scale, metal, matte finish.

Pretty, but I was expecting "Colonial" as in America in the 1750s-1770s :(

Prost!

Excellent news!

By the way where did you find these photographs?
Best wishes,
Benjamin

Yes, sorry for the poor quality, I'm not the best photographer. I sculpted these for Del Prado -- I'm working on this series and their Gettysburg series (along with other sculptors). I'm Doug Dearth and I am the owner of Order of Battle (a tiny company) but sculpt for several companies.

Thanks for writing ~dOUg

Hi Doug,
Thank you for the response. I was scouring EBAY UK, FR, and IT looking for these figures. Are there any Gurkhas in the offing? Do you know when these figures will be available for sale in Europe?
Thanks
Benjamin

Sorry no new info. Don't even know when my next new assignment is. But as soon as I know something I'll be sure to post ~dOUg

These look quite good, 2 of them will fit in to my present series, need to track these down eventually{sm3}, Robin.

I thought Del Prado had gone out of business a few years ago.

I guess they must have been re-born.

I sure hope so! Did some treatments for two other lines: "Police from Around the World" and "Football (soccer to us Yanks) Heros" but those may not see the light of day. And the "Days of Gettysburg" line which is underway and can be viewed on this very forum! ;) ~dOUg

I had 80 Del Prado figures and while they were well sculpted, I felt the square bases made them 'stature' like. These new ones have much better bases IMO which makes the figure more realistic for me.:D, Robin.

I see TF shop has these now, look good, just wondering size wise, if they are 54mm they will not fit with my present ranges which are more 60mm. Have to wait to see if some else is able to compare/combine. Robin.

Hi Villagehorse,
The Del Prado are slightly taller and " fatter" so when you put a regular 54mm next to them the Del Prado guys kind of stick out.....But on a give or take go along.
Cheers
