Guy...thanks for posting...I like this pose a lot...very cool...similar to the "laying firing" sculpt already released...but I think this guy looks better laying on the side of his hip rather than on his stomach...I'm definitely getting this figure...I understand facial hair has been added to this figure...

ps...he is permanently attached to the base unlike the first one...and there may be 2 versions of this...

A nicely done figure but would prefer him without a base................The Lt.

Maybe if enough people let TGM know that maybe they will make it without the base.Might make it a little cheaper also.

Guy...nice pose, thank you for posting. Do you know if TG plans to release some figures with trousers tucked into the boots?

Thanks for the heads up Guy, even though it's low to the ground in this case. Suggests more FFL on the way in the short period, thought there might have been a second figure on display as they are sold in pairs! Robin.

Agreed mate when possible a stand should be left off, more versatile that way.

I couldn't agree 100% more...

I would definitely prefer it without a base...

when I make a diorama...I always like to cover the bases with grounwork...I think it's a nice touch that makes the picture more realistic...

I actually thought TG's reasoning was that...........with a base it would be cheaper....because...

the cost of 1-2 ounces of metal...as opposed to painting the underside of the body...seems like it might be the most affordable route for them...regardless...I would much prefer they take the time to remove the base before sending it to the factory...

Agreed as well here! This sculpt is quite old and in fact the stand has already been removed and the hat has been modified as well. There will be 2 versions this time with 100 of each figure produced once again.
We have a total of 6 new FFL figures which should be ready next month with unveiling taking place at Londons June show.
No Touaregs this time but they should follow in July/August!

Kind regards Vicki

Vicki...how refreshing...thank you for listening...even if you had already decided to remove it before these posts...I think it will make a much better offering...

can't wait for the new figures...

Is there any way to double like the new figure pictures? 6 new FFL dudes coming out. Winner winner chicken dinner.

I am excited about TG's French Foreign Legion (which would be displayed with K&C's desert village diorama)

Side note...

I think TG is smart to produce subjects that K&C "could not fit into their production schedule."

TG's figure scale is compatible to K&C, so a lot of K&C collectors (like myself) will buy their products to supplement K&C

I have collected TG's
Napoleonic 95th Rifles
Nap French line infantry in greatcoat
Berlin WW2 German paratroopers on parade

but to be frank, for companies that produce figures in the price range of US$30-40/figure, my ranking (in terms of sculpt and paint quality) as follow:

John Jenkins
K&C
TG
Del prado/Hachette (those produced by K&C)
Figarti

Hi Vicki,
I am a great fan of TGM's German sets and now of the FFL ones....I need thou to race to get some given the speed that they are going out of stock.
In the meantime, I wish to share with you some possible new ideas for the series based on the sets I have in my collection and maybe something interesting will come up from Brian's drawing board....
For although I love FFL , I am crazy for artillery pieces and support fire to regular infantry platoons...hence the reason for the first FFL sets being in the heavy fire section.....
Cheers
