New Fighting Highlanders (1 Viewer)

Great intelligence Noah; you must have a spy eye with alarm connected to the FL site.:p:D

Of course you forgot to mention the firm release commitment for the first Brunswickers for this year, as well as these blokes:eek::cool::D

True, I didn't mention the Brunswickers and Cuirassiers. I wanted to leave some suprise for you when you went to check out the Highlanders!:D

Noah

Ah thank you Noah, most kind of you mate but how did you know I was going to check?.;):D

Well, over time, I have gotten the impressions you are a fan of such Napoleonic releases......:D You no doubt have in mind a number of Peninsual battles where these Highlanders could be represented!

And the Cuirassiers were not something I was expecting right now. They will be popular, I am sure.

Well guilty as charged and I must thank you again for your contribution to my collection. I think the Cuirassiers will be a great addition and will have some stubborn opponents in those Scots and maybe some other Brits down the road.;):D

Since the workbench has a new photo showing all the new poses, I thought it should only fairly be added to this thread. Can you imagine how well these will look in square or in line and supported by the following ranks of the earlier release?:cool: I think now I will be getting some more standing Scots before they sell out.

I think that the Highlander ramming cartridge is an excellent figure. A lot of determination in that face!

I agree and I also like the Mounted Colonel. The 'jowly-looking' face adds a lot of character!

Man the more I look at these guys the better they look ;) Did not have them worked into my budget , But somethings gonna have to wait ...these are just too Good :D G

I had the chance today to see the various groups of Highlanders next to each other. There is no doubt which ones I will be getting this year.;)

I was going to get a second Wellington figure as a back-up. Lord knows, I bugged Matt enough to produce it sooner rather than later, but I think Matt won't mind, if I opt for some of these instead... :D Great-looking, nasty bunch aren't they! :)

I was thrilled to open my First Legion newsletter today for several reasons but in particular to find a preview of the "rest of the story" for FL's Highlanders.:cool:

I knew it in my bones that FL would not fail to deliver the fighting part of the Highlanders and these bonnie laddies look like they are more than up to the task. The annoucement says there will be some 14 additional figures coming in January 2011 that will allow for the creation of a full 4 rank line of battle or 4 rank square in conjunction with the existing command and standing figures. Aye, one thing for certain, there are no skivers, tatty tartans or squeefs in this lot o' wahoo Gordons.:D:D

Just wanted to see this picture again man just beyond

Aye mate, they could easily be Connoisseur photos.;)

Mate ,
Make no mistake First legion are producing figures at a connoisseur level and at a pace and a depth collectors of high end figures have been dreaming of for years . I know I'm one of em ;) , I bought my first FL figure while at a show buying Aeroart from Mr Thor and Russian figures from Mr Aleksey Dyakov I was blown away to pay just $ 34.95 . Over the past 3 years the price for First legion has increased but so has the quality . I'm still very very happy with the value I receive for the money , and look forward to see what will be next :D these lads look FANTASTIC .
I still make room in my budget for Aeroart Romans and Celts they are some of my favorite figures that I own , I would love to see what First Legion could do with this era .......All the best my friend Gebhard
