On page 41 of the last catalogue there's the display case, and if you look well on the extreme right there are 2 figures , in the upper shelf one in late 18th century uniform with a kind of Tarleton cap..and in the lower shelf a soldier in late 19th century uniform , maybe 1890?It's only me or do you see them too?

I scanned the page but it hasn't come out too well, just make out the figures you mentioned.

Jeff

Thanks Polar, beautiful the Club figure !I didn't remember it!I hope there'll be a reissue of something similar..and for the 16th regt. figure i'm not so sure..the facings appear dark, and notice the hand on the waistbelt..also on the same page looking well i made out another figure second from left in the lower shelf : certainly a NCO of the Guards with Pike ,Napoleonic Wars , i don't know if it was released, apparently seems like a variation without coat of the NCO we'll see in the next few months the one in overcoat (44011).

Thanks Craig..now i remember it!!!(the napoleonic one)..regarding the other i've never seen it, so i'll take a look on your album! Thanks and sorry for my Rob's style hallucinations !:)

1868 uniform as the new 16th regt. figure?Very nice collection Craig! You have many rare figures there , i'm planning to upgrade my WBClub subscription to the Premium range to obtain the gift figure (it's difficult for me to attend the show)..you have many gift figures too if i'm right..:)My Redcoats collection is still moving his first steps...

Craig

Thanks for clearing this up. I forgot about the figures from the London meeting. I do not have any of them unfortunately. The item I would love to find is the 2007 Club figure 43108C British 93rd Highlander Crimean War but they are scarce as hen's teeth and those who have one are reluctant to part with them. Richard tells me that even he does not have one.
Has anyone seen one on eBay?

Randy

iv never seen one on ebay but there was a collector advertising that he had one for sale in the standard a few issues ago so you might be able to get one that way?

Hi Randy,

This is one of my personal favourites of the 93rd Highlanders.

I have 2 of these figures purchased on eBay in the last 2 years.

It does appear every now and then on eBay.

However, the opening bid price / Buy It Now price has been steadily going up.

I shall send you a PM when I next see one on eBay.

Best, Raymond.

:)

Hi guys

Thought I'd just chime in here, as Richard's not the only one that hasn't got one of those, I manage the Club in the UK and even I haven't got one. As you're talking about the Club pieces and in particular the event figures I thought I'd add the details and images of the latest ones. These are as follows:

50011C - Marching 42nd (Black Watch) Highlander, Tel-el-Kebir, 1882
44035 - Ensign, King’s Colour, 2nd (Coldstream) Guards
44028 - Drum Major, 2nd (Coldstream) Foot Guards, 1815

50011C is brand new and will be listed in the next "Standard" but he can also be seen (along with a new matte Zulu piece) on the Club website (http://www.wbritaincollectorsclub.com/whatsnew.cfm). 44028 is the figure being given to ticket holders for this year's Annual Event in London (all 400 tickets for this event are now sold out), whilst 44035 is the figure which will be given to all ticket holders for the new US event (again details of this can be found on the Club website).

I hope this is of interest and if anyone has any questions please just let me know.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,

Good to see you here too.

Randy,

I have that figure and am mighty pleased to have it since they very rarely come up on ebay. I am hopeful we'll see some more from the Crimean War in the not too distant future. I also agree with Randy that if there is a figure from the club you want and are not a member then you really should join its not very expensive and the Standard and emails and club exclusive figures make it really worth the small fee. If you are looking for the 93rd figure you can have a member run an add for you in the Standard that may be the best way to find one of these guys. I will also keep an eye open on ebay and a few of the other places I poke around in because they do pop up from time to time.

Dave

Thanks Dave nice to be here. And yes Randy Dave's right, your best chance of tracking the figure down (for a reasonable price) would be through the Club magazine which you can advertise in for free as a member. I've had a number of new members do this over the last year and most have been successful in obtaining the specials they were after for around the original cost rather than the often inflated prices on eBay.

All the best
Mark
