Tank riders, an elephant, Native Americans, and French Agincourt knights! My wallet is going to take a beating this year.

Holy Cow! FL is a Juggernaut that can't be stopped or even contained. They are bursting at the seams with fantastic creations! Maybe there's a hint at a Tiger II herein:

"For our Battle of the Bulge series, we are pleased to preview 8 different Waffen SS tank riders! Tanks just look that much better when buried in figures. Combined with NOR072 Crew figures, you can very soon have 10 different figures showing on your Tiger or Panther or perhaps even something bigger."

Really exciting stuff to look forward to!

I will be looking forward to adding Native Americans to my Wild West collection. Hopefully, we will see them later this year.

Never been a big fan of tank riders but maybe one or two on a vehicle but these new Germans will look good sitting, standing around a camp fire, ruins etc. Very well done.

Doesnt look like a Woodland Indian, more Apache. What do you think?

Personally, very interesting is the soviet ww2 marine {sm3}

It looks like a Persian is riding atop the elephant. Very cool.

I don't claim to be knowledgeable about War Elephants or that period -- far from it -- but could that be an Elephant Alexander encountered in India?

At the Westcoaster a few years ago Matt said an Indian elephant would be the first elephant would we see from FL.

Aha! Thanks Joe.

I shudder to think what this fella is going to cost.

Brad-

it is tempting to think that could be an elephant ridden in the Indus Valley towards ATG's romp across the Orient but I believe it is a Persian war elephant. Indian armies of the time, especially on the elephants, were lightly armored, if at all. Mainly as a result of the heat and humidity. To me, the leggings are a dead give away as is the decorative cloak over the head of the elephant. It will be a show stopper for sure.

Regarding the "Plains Indian"- I am happy to be wrong but it looks to me more like a mongol horseman- Atila the Hun era.

Chris, you may be right about the Elephant. Regarding the Mongol Horseman, I don't think so; to which range would it belong?

YES!!! The French Agincourt mounted knights are on the way, finally... {bravo}}

That Elephant rider does look like a Persian. Nice to see something different other than Roman... Good strategy! {sm3}

That doesn't look like a native American to me, could be a Mongol warrior. {sm4}

Have to set aside funds for the knights and the elephant, for sure! :salute::

Could actually be Crusades. I believe what started the conflicts leading up to the Fall of Acre was a joint Crusader / Mongol attack on the Saracens, which they repulsed. The Mongols left and the Sultan had his excuse to invade. One reason it is interesting is that most of the time the Templar advocated aggressive action and the Hospitallers were more conservative. This time the Hospitallers instigated both the alliance with the Mongols and the battle plan.

Although the loss was not as devastating as Hattin (in fact I believe tactically it might have been a draw tactically) it was a disaster strategically.
