New Flak 88 Walkaround (1 Viewer)

Thanks for that this really does look to be a cracking set. Any chance of doing the same with the Tiger 1??

I s this gun a 88 or a 41 flak gun??...Sammy

the Flak 41 is a version of the 88. The original models were Flak 18, Flak 36 and Flak 37 and are named after the year they went into production. Most people are familiar with the Flak 36 & 37 as the main 88 models. The Flak 41 was a longer barelled, more powerful 88 for anti-aircraft use to take down high flying bombers. It was far less portable than the earlier models and was really a static gun for AAA use. Only 500 were made for use by the Luftwaffe.

The flak 41 was also mounted a tank chassis and named
8.8cm Flak auf Sonderfahrgestell (Pz. Sfl.IVc) only one was made and tested in march 44 but, problems with the gun due to wear. the gun was quickly removed and replaced with a Flak 37 and sent to italy.

Its a great release and is a big big gun
