Crossroads

Forces of Valor has released two new aircraft. These should be hitting the shelves sometime next week. These are both 1:32 scale.

P-51 Mustang

Those are great pics, Crossroads! Judging from the five FOV 1/32 planes I own (including the two pictured), FOV can do no wrong no matter what plane they release. They’re that good!

In fact, I’d say they’re on a par with their FOV armor cousins – maybe better (if that’s possible). The fighters’ contour and shapes are dead right on; their camo paint jobs are bulls-eye accurate; their munitions and drop tanks are bloody realistic. They are, in fact, pieces of art. Really.

If you’ve been thinking about purchasing one or two but hesitate because they’re not armor – think again. You’ll thank yourself.

But don’t wait too long. Some of these birds are getting more difficult to find, and I’m thinking that once they’re retired it’ll become near impossible.

The fact that FOV is releasing the P-39 has got my juices percolating. :p

These are high quality models and have one of the original FOV P51 and ME109's and love displaying them.

I'm not much on collecting aircraft but I wonder how these FOV's compare to there counterpart's (Corgi) in quality and is the difference worth paying for; anyone know?

On a comparison basis, FOV 1/32 planes are loads more realistic (weathering, pilot, etc.). Corgi produces accurate models, more or less: Their Mosquitos are reasonably good (and heavy). But for my money, if you want a warbird that really looks like it’s flown into the teeth of battle, get an FOV. Better yet, get them all!

Corgi 1/32 planes are miles better than FOV ones :p
The Fov spitfire had the wrong paint job on it for a start
