Hi, I've recently got back into 54mm plastics after spending most of my 20s through to early 50s wargaming. I've been spending time converting some Supreme French infantry with part from Helmet and thoroughly enjoying it. Apart from the aesthetics, it's a pleasure to model and paint in a scale where I don't have to squint to see them! I'll take some photos and post them if someone could point me in the right direction.

At this moment I'm painting a British Royal Horse artillery gun and crew from AIP. I think they're really good sculptings and a joy to paint.

cheers

Welcome aboard!

Regarding posting photos, I just recently started myself. I've had a good experience so far with a free Photobucket account, which lets you get an IMG code for each photo that you can paste into your posts for easy adding of photos.

Hi Bro Jonathon, I've got myself a photobucket account but as I am not really a tech head I can't seem to work out how to convert my jpeg pictures into img. Could you give me some pointers? Thanks in anticipation. Steve:)

Hey newguy, I'm posting a picture here to refresh myself on how to do it and to walk you through the way to import pictures from your own archives.

First go to your MY PICTURES page from your desktop. Find the picture(s) you want to upload. The picture has to be the right size. Open the picture you want. When it opens a new menu will be available at the top. select edit. Now you get a new window. select edit again. A new menu appears. Select resize and find 800 and click. then at the bottom click on RESIZE AND SAVE. Now X out that window and your pictures should be there with the new size labeled 8oox599. These specific pictures are now ready to be imported to a thread.

When you are on this page to respond to a thread or start a new one move your cursor up to the second row of icons above this space. Pause movement over each of the icons and one will say insert image click on that. A box will appear that will have at the top From computer from URL. Click on from computer. Then at the bottom right side click basic upload.

Now click on the word browse. This will take you to your MY PICTURES section of your computer. Find the picture or pictures that you have resized that you want to load. You can only load one at a time and only up to five per post , at least on my computer there are those limitations. Open that picture with a double click. You will be taken back to the browse window A number sequence will appear in the box next to the word browse. This is your picture. Click the Upload files button. It takes a long moment for each picture to transfer in, as much as 20 m- 30 seconds so give it time to work.

To see what your post will look like click on Preview Post in the green box to the right and down from the window you are typing in. You may edit as much as needed before you hit submit. I recommend a lot of previewing.

I hope this works for you, good luck.

Love the vividness of the paint job on these guys - one of the great things about Nappies is the colors, even if they might not have looked that pretty in real life. Some beautiful shots - thanks for sharing.

Thanks middleguard. I'll hopefully have some free time soon to try it out. Things have gone a bit mad at work in the last month. I'm doing too much!

Steve
