From below:
I have a question.Would Barrell's uniform be right for the FIW or did the uniforms change between 1746 and 1755.

Fife and drum does not list this regiment for FIW, least in North America.
Wonder site for regimental colors and some where and when they were stuff!!!
But the 4th regiment foot is shown for the AIW - Lexington.
http://www.kingsown.net/about.htm is an reactment group for the 4th, but light infantry, not regulars. Basic colors seem the same .....
Okay Ken.....
You are the master of research and technical information without a doubt....
you always find the most comprehensive explanations for us...
thank you.....
with the exception of your warped sense of humor sometimes........ hahahahahahaha......
the granite blocks from Fort Duquesne are in your driveway..........grrrrrrrrr!
"The truth is my post about Fort Duquesne and the Quebec Gate is a total fabrication. By going so far off the deep end, I thought everyone would realize this. Fort Duquesne was timber. My apology to everyone."
If I told you that the Front Gate at Fort Duquesne was a exact replic of the Quebec Gate, would you get brick factory up and running again?
Actually, the whole western side of Fort Duquesne was in actually in masonary and not timber. To prove my ascertion, I have twin granite blocks at the head of my driveway from the original Fort Duquense. One is stamped "Fort Duquesne 1753, Property of His Most Christian Majestyl Louis XV". The other is stamped "Go Away, Dinwiddie (Such a Silly Name!!)".
