King and Country newest bricks and mortar shop officially opened in Adelaide, South Australia today. Operating for 20 years as a military hobby shop, the owners Andrew and Margot McDougall now operate under the name " THE TOY SOLDIER EXPERIENCE " as a K&C dealer. A number of valued K&C collectors were invited for the opening and were treated to visual treat of array of cabinets displaying various series, plus wined and dined. Of note there were many retired items present and as the shop deals internationally, they are sure to be snapped up. No doubt Andy would be very happy with his latest outlet. The photos shown are attempt to see some of the stock that is on offer. For me, at last I have a shop to call in regularly and view the new monthly releases first hand, wonderful. Robin.

He is now it's my closest dealer .... only a 36 hour drive NON STOP !!!!!!

Hope to visit there in July if there will be another visit by Andy next year.

Sounds like a plan mate

That's great Robin to have a store on your doorstep.

I can see the social side of your collecting will also be expanding Robin, meeting up with your collector mates for a chin wag and a beer there. :salute::

Wow Robin, nowadays with virtually only e-commerce replacing brick and mortar stores, it is a privilege to see a real store opening and more, close to your home! You have won a lottery ticket!!

WOW .. what a fantastic store. I could spend hours and hours just looking at everything ... and ... $dollars and $dollars on what is see in the photos.

Hummmmm …. :rolleyes2: …. I wonder how long it would take to get to Adelaide, South Australia from Waldoboro, Maine, USA?

THE BEST of luck with the store.

What a fantastic set up!
I'm always interested to see how others set their shelves.

I especially like the shelf with the TRW indians, mounted cav, Wild Bunch and Lonesome dove!

Congrats to Andrew & Margot!

Hi Guys,
Allow me to add my congratulations with Amber’s in welcoming Andrew & Margot to the King & Country ‘community’...Their energy and enthusiasm for the hobby and the business is very encouraging and I am looking forward to working with them.
I’m also eagerly anticipating the opportunity of flying down to Adelaide next year and adding that great city onto the ‘Annual OzTrip’ after Brisbane & Sydney.
All the very best to ‘The Toy Soldier Experience Adelaide’ and all our friends in that great city and state!

From all of us at King & Country in HK,
Andy.

Or via Singapore but that would still be around 30 hours flying time Larry! {eek3} I spent 25 hours on a plane getting from my city (via Singapore) to Chicago last month!

Great pic's Robin and I hope the new K&C dealership works out for Andrew. I'll try and visit later this month or December for sure.

Tom
