At least I would say this is the "most active " collectors with the exception of perhaps a number of non-english speaking collectors. certainly the "most involved" group and it's fair to think the most educated and most up to date on these subjects.
I don't think it would be smart to ignore what goes on on this forum, the folks here are most probably way ahead of the curve in the trends of the industry from the consumer side.

All joking aside - I do agree that Treefrog Forum has become a Focus Group - you do have a cross section of the USA & World Market and the all the posters would probally make up a good sampling for polling as well - within the collectors world.

The people here do have a great amount of knowledge and come at this hobby from the VERY SERIOUS Side to the more Relaxed Side

So you do get all viewpoints here. I agree with Brad that the Producers of these products are able to get quality in feedback here than anywhere else in the World.

This may be only the insane and manic 20 per cent but to Brad's point there are many watchers(lurkers)
I would hazard a guess that the 80:20 rule applies and in terms of monies spent this audience likely accounts for the greater proportion of overall sales.
Tony, don't let Mrs G know there is a record of my purchases, she won't believe as it is that those large boxes arriving regularly are simply well packed individual items.

In my opinion, this is an interesting question that should be raised in a specific thread, isn't it? I would greatly appreciate a little lesson of toy soldiers' history.
