New Lines? (1 Viewer)

On the Canadian forum they mentioned John would be introducing three new lines. Anyone know when those will be announced? Let the guessing begin.

Could you post the internet address of the Canadian forum? Mine doesn't work anymore.

Thank you, russell

Outside of the NWF (Afghanistan 1880's), nothing jumps out at me a logical choice for any of the new lines. New Orleans a poor second guess. Zippo on the third.

I think there is more chance of Hades freezing over than ever seeing Bushy Run.:)

Maybe you should start lobbying First Legion for that since they have now wet their feet with 18th C America.

I do believe there will be at least one new line that will please you very much.

Randy

I'm betting he gets to Bushy Run before The Taiping Rebellion.;)

How about something totally off the wall, like the Pershing expedition pursuing Villa into the wilds of Mexico? It's got cavalry, motorcars, aircraft, and best of all, Villa and gang. Any takers?:D -- Al

I don't expect WW1, WW2 or modern wars and tanks. Pancho Villa might be possible. The rough riders. US cavalry vs Apaches and with covered wagons.

I believe one of Sgt. Preston's ancestors was among the Indian captives rescued by Henry Bouquet at Bushy Run. :D

How about Bears at Bushy Run?

Believe it or not Eureka Miniatures who make wargames figures have a line of metal 28mm bear soldiers including Zulus and the 24th Foot.

I think Doug figures he will eventually wear John and the rest of us down until we are all clamoring for this subject.

Doug

I am lobbying John to do the Canadian Indians that were with Wolseley in the Sudan manning the whaleboats during the Gordon Relief Expedition.

Just as a matter of interest, did any of you Bushy Run enthusiasts purchase the Don Troiani print on the subject? I was so impressed by it that I bought it the first time I saw it and it remains one of my favorite pictures. It is a superb action picture of the Highlanders charge through the forest with the foe starting to give ground. Highly recommended for those interested in the subject. -- Al

Now that would be interesting. It sounds like something John might want to do.

I don't have that one, but recently purchased a nice painting from Pamela White depicting the 77th Grenadiers at Bushy Run (bear skin hats!):

Also there is one of Bouquet: http://www.ppatrickwhite.com/Pages/ForbesRoadJuniataCrossing.htm
