Hey all:

Was just wondering why the new M12 doesnt have a front seat driver. There is a hole or cut out for a 1/2 size soldier to sit in, just wondering why he's not part of the crew. Maybe there is a second crew release sort of like the 88mm gun? Anyways, was just curious if anybody else noticed this.

Have a great day

Funny thing is i could have sworn i saw a pic somewhere of the M12 with a half body crewman in that hatch.Must have imagined it i guess.Unless the driver also had another role, and he is in action with the rest of the crew?.

Hi Guys,

The reason for there being no driver in the M12 is that as the other figures show the gun is being loaded and made ready to fire. Personally speaking, I don’t think I would want to be sitting in the driver’s position when this little baby let’s rip!!!

Also, as the vehicle is at the halt and about to go into action the driver could assist his other gun crew buddies.

Anyway that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Best wishes and...happy collecting!

Good point, you would not want to be sat under it would you!!!!

I have an on going fantasy of Andy turning out a special set of busts, half, and threequarter figures. To add on to our duplicate or modified/converted vehicles.
Perhaps a guy pulling himself out of the hatch before it fires?
