Hi guys ,
I thought some of you might enjoy this :wink2: , it appears a certain owner of a Toy Soldier company many of us enjoy is having problems making post . Anyway enjoy this image, its from an add to be placed in Toy Soldier Model Figure and in Toy Soldier Collector Magazine . Posted with the express consent of aforementioned all around cool guy :salute:: Regards Gebhard ( the Poor )

Wow, those are great! Thanks is due to First Legion, as this group looks superb! And some thanks to you Gebhard for posting this^&grin.

I am very happy for all the Crusades fans, as this should really provide just what they needed. When First Legion does a release, they do it right and in a big way! These will be popular I'm sure.

I have one crusader, and although I don't collect this line, I really may end up with one of these awesome figures. Fantastic job! I am really hooked on First Legion.

Moral: work like and ant and save like an ant, you'll need it sometime...^&grin
Thanks for posting guys, I'll have to digest this image a few more times (about 100 would suffice I'd say...).

Noah ,
Just trying to be helpful :wink2: , after looking at these guys about 200 times I'm really in big trouble . My must have list is getting really long  Regards Gebhard

I can't wait to see those Mameluks in higher resolution. Do you guys think the shields are hand painted or are the intricate designs some sort of decals ? I prefer paint myself..

Cheers,

Alex

I would also vote for painted , It's hard to tell like you mentioned . Some of those look very detailed indeed , if they are painted it would most likely add to the price of some of these guys . I guess we will have to wait a little longer to find out . Regards Gebhard

This isn't a period that I collect but I have got to give credit where it's due.
These are stunning.
If I didn't have so many Napoleonic soldiers to buy I would be into this lot.
A fantastic release.
Paul

Thanks Matt...

Those mameluks will then have to be in my collection :)

Cheers,

Alex

I already have perfect places on the ramparts of my Saracen walled city for a good number of the FL Mamluks. A few of them are exactly what I was hoping for. It's almost as if they were made to my specifications. They will tie in perfectly with my King & Country Saracens, completing the contingent of Saracen troops defending the walls of the city.
