Was looking at the history of the USS Laffey, DD724, and read Mel Gibson announce in May 2018 he would make a movie about the ship. That would be fantastic. The Laffey is on display in SC. Chris

Today, Laffey is a U.S. National Historic Landmark and is preserved as a museum ship at Patriots Point, outside Charleston, South Carolina.
