I finally found the place to say hello after seeing a thread moved here. Mike, here a former United States Naval Aviator. I am fairly new to the collecting part of the hobby. I inherited quite a collection from my father that recently passed. It has sparked the interest and I have begun collecting myself and adding to various areas of interest. The fellas where I buy my soldiers at recommended this site and I decided to join if for nothing else, to keep the genre alive being former military and for Dad.
Take care, Mike.

Welcome aboard Mike, and sorry about your dad. My dad (also a naval aviator - crewman on a PBM flying boat during the Korean War) passed in a car accident a couple of years back. Hope you enjoy the hobby and the forum.:smile2:

Louis thank you for your greeting and words. I flew Grumman S-2F's or Stoofs as we called them, then Grumman C-1A's, and ended my time flying P-3C Orions. Long time ago but the hobby is making it seem not so long ago. Thanks again, Mike

Good to have another Vol on board. What era are you interested in?

Well I have lots of some and a little of everything! But right now I am really into the Cav and Indian thing and medieval-crusader too. However I like WW2 and WW1. Civil War too has always been a great interest. Some of the flying knight aces stuff from Jenkins and King country has me really going. French and Indian. Pretty easy to like all of it. Have you seen the new 3D sign at the stadium in Knoxville? Go Vols Mike! and Thank You
