I just picked up a set of new Mignot figures - Napoleon's Old Guard. Up until now I only have had a couple sets of used Mignot, that are in relatively good shape but decades old. These new ones I just got are painted beautifully; I've found there is a big difference between 'mint' figures that are 50 years old, and actual newly painted figures. Mignot has gone through periods of quality paint jobs and periods of painting their soldiers poorly. Even in their own recent publication on the history of Mignot, the company admits there were years when the painting was sloppy, such as during World War II. So I am happy Mignot is still producing figures to a high standard. I picked them up from Tradition of London, which carries a very few Mignot sets. I've looked at the CBG Mignot website, but even using Google translate, it is a bit confusing, and the postage they charge to get figures to North America quite high. Perhaps someone has had a good experience ordering from them direct though?

Hi.
Their distributor in the US is http://www.lepetitsoldat.com/

The owner is easy to work with.
Thanks
