New Mobile Version of Forum (1 Viewer)

For all you guys tracking the forum on your PDAs, a new moblie-friendly version of the forum is available! The forum will automatically recognize that you are mobile and give you that format.

We'd appreciate feedback on it.

You should still be able to get to the normal layout by going to the bottom and clicking on 'Full Site.' I just peeked and it's not working...hmm....

I see the manufacturers but can't seem to find "What's New" button.

BTW, cool feature you added to the Forum allowing us to link video from a variety sources (e.g. You Tube) right into a thread.

The 'What's New' will be available in the next update from our forum software. Sorry, it's not available now :redface2:
 
Peter, So far so good. I like the larger display for each message as compared to viewing the full version on my phone.. Agreed -the What's New feature will be good.. Thx for making continued improvements to the forum!

Pete,

I know you work very hard to help us so I don't want to appear ungrateful but (and you knew that was coming :smile2:) the changes make my BB very difficult to use the Forum. First, the new posts button is gone. Second, you can't see what the latest thread is in a section. For example, I would have to go the K & C Forum, click on that and then see the various threads. Then, when you look at a thread, there is no button to click the latest post.

Lastly, I don't see my pm box. When I click on messenger, there's no pms.

Unfortunately, this will confine to me looking through a computer, not the BB.

Guess it's not the worst thing in the world but any chance you can go back to the older version. However, I'm sure it's probably not. Oh, well.
 
Not working for me I'm afraid, when I click on a thread I just get a blank Green screen^&confuse

I know this is a work in progress...you're supposed to be able to choose the main site at the bottom. I need to look into why that's not happening. We'll get this all working!

A little secret...we may soon have an app for iPod and for Android. We'll keep you posted!

Another issue is that you can only see the first page of a multi page thread. There is no link to take you to the next page.

Brad - I'm on a multi-page thread now, and I have a big row of numbers in white squares at the top and bottom of the page. Are they not showing up for you?
 
No, Pete, that doesn't show up. I looked at my son's BB and the Forum wouldn't even load on there.
 
I have an iPhone 3G, and when I load the forum, all I get is patches of graphics, such as the logo, and all the rest is totally wacked{sm2}{sm2}:eek:{eek3}^&confuse.

Hi Pete,

Am using an an iphone 3GS running OS4. It seems to be having trouble rendering the whole page when in portrait mode - you only get green screen, which is the left of the page , and only creates the right hand side (with the posts on) when you rotate the phone to landscape. Once you can see the whole page in landscape, you can turn back to portrait and the whole page is there again. Just a little bug!

BTW, its nice and quick to load the pages ^&cool

The green screen is the camo mode,turn it off Rob...............{sm2}
