John's talent at sculpting horses is unreal. I also can not wait to see these painted.

William the Bastard oops sorry :) - Conqueror is there - fourth from the left - holding his helmet up and carrying his club :)

That could be Bishop Odo. He also carried a club. Will be interesting to see who it is. -- Al
 
The guy raising his helmet is surely William as this was an iconic moment and turning point of the Battle of Hastings. And also featured in that tapestry!
 
Here is bishop Odo. Looking at the Tapestry where his name is embroidered over a figure with a particular armor , according to historians and scholars the armor is probably lamellar. Men of church fought during the middle age, but they usually used clubs, so to avoid "shedding blood. Recommend this book analyzing every aspect of the Bayeux Tapestry.
