DUNKIRK---World War II movie underway from writer/director Christopher Nolan (THE DARK KNIGHT, INTERSTELLAR) and Warner Bros. based on the evacuation of Allied forces across the English Channel during the German conquest of France in 1940. Many roles will be filled by unknown actors, but Tom Hardy (MAD MAX: FURY ROAD), Kenneth Branagh (THOR) and Mark Rylance (BRIDGE OF SPIES) are in talks for starring roles. Much of the movie will be filmed in the Dunkirk area. Premiere will be on July 21, 2017.

DUNKIRK---film set photos released from the Christopher Nolan/Warner Bros. World War II movie about the evacuation of Allied soldiers from Dunkirk during the Nazi conquest of France. The movie is being filmed on location in Dunkirk. Jack Lowden, Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance and Cillian Murphy star.

About 10 or so years ago, the BBC did a special on Dunkirk, sort of a docudrama. It was included the BBC box set of WW II. It was very good.

Hey guys,there is a new teaser trailer for this new movie.Christopher Nolan is the writer,co-producer,and director.Should be very good.Scheduled to be released next yea.

Here's a trailer. Not that interested, but I do like Tom Hardy.

It looks a little threadbare and deserted for an evacuation involving 338,000 troops - not
counting the ones left behind. Maybe it's just a barebones trailer, the CGI effects are not done yet..

Dunkirk

Took my younger sons to see Star Wars Rogue One yesterday and one of the opening trailers is the new movie coming out called Dunkirk. This film looks great. Some really eye opening scenes. Looks to be a powerful movie on the battle and a well made War/WW 2 movie. Best part was my 3 younger sons all said they must see this. Asked a ton of questions. My nine year old who is a K&C WW 2 junkie like me already asked will they be releasing figures related to this battle. I said that's an interesting idea. I guess we shall see.

not so good.
