Anybody else waiting on the upcoming Blackwatch figures ? Looking forward to them badly needed reinforcements.

Is there any update to share ? ... these seem to be behind schedule

Thank You

OD

They look worth the wait. Looking for about 40 assorted with the command figures for a good start on a square. They appear to me to be on the top of the heap for 54mm painted figures hands down.

Hi OD

That is some British square you have there.

Absolutely fantastic mate!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D

Best wishes Mark

Very nice OD, I know what you mean about waiting. I finally have started receiving my Durbar stuff that was due out in JUne, trouble is now it all comes at once. :(

Is'nt nice knowing Scott and Mike that it's well worth the wait for the Britain sets and figures and there's no doubt OldDragon will agree as you'll note with the posting of his pictures. Thanks for sharing them OD

These have been on my Christmas list for sometime. They do look fantastic .
Old Dragoon, I notice the firing figures have bayonets fixed.
Fine by me. I want my square to be bristling with cold steel. Notice these images
do NOT have them .Maybe someone changed their mind and had to alter the production run, causing delay. Worth the extra time.

Yes that is interesting about the bayonets. There was some discussion about it when they were first announced as I recall so you may be right. They do look nice and I think they would fit in nicely with the First Legion Guards and promised 92nd Foot. I have found the Britain's Napoleonics the perfect match in size and the poses and painting for these is noticably better than for the retiring Coldstreams.

Thank you all for your kind observations.

Yes, it was a very pleasant surprise that the "firing" figures arrived with their bayonets fixed. :)

and I am still "waiting" on more Blackwatch ;) and the fighting Officer, Sergeant, Piper and casualty figures look even more delicious.

Bayonets look a whole lot better, but it is a bear to load a musket and manipulate the ram rod with bayonet fixed.

Yes it is. I've seen a guy some years back skewer himself pretty good.
I'm planning a large formation. Can't manage 4 ranks deep so we're going with 2 ranks, so having them all with bayonets dosent bother me too much.

Very nice addition to your collection Harold and nicely presented. Got to try an convince you to use photo bucket to show them off better along with all of your future photos. Looking forward to seeing what else you do with them...Joe
