Those would be tin bay from the looks of them, also if you go to figurine emporiom.com they also sell those. They are the same scale as K&C I,ve got a couple but not many as they sell at about $65 for a single foot figure and you can get 3 K&C for that price. If your at the show and you buy a few you can sometimes talk them down quite a bit in price. I love these figures but there a little to high in price for me but they make nice fillers for K&C. Did they have the big colums of marching french troops set up at that show you went to? I always have to stop at the figurine emporiom table and just chech out the huge table of these napoleonics he brings when he comes to the show down here in dedham ma. its a site to see a whole table full of these all set up in person. I,ve already posted a link to both sites on this forum already if you look, I can,t rember what i put them under. It looks like someone else may be getting the napoleonic bug :D Caution its contagious!!!

I have to say Fishead those are really really nice....do you have alot of them??

Cheers

Fishhead, Yes, I saw these again in Chicago and was sorely tested to buy a small grouping but bought all the KC Empress Dragoons from Minuteman George G. and 8 Frontline Cuirassiers as well.Cannot recall the dealers name but he was very nice and we talked several different times as I made the rounds.Yes, he had the columns of French Voltiguers and Grenadiers, the Highlanders, British Guards and many others in formations.Splendid sight to behold but too rich for me to build large units of very fast .
We used to call Napoleonics the black hole of figure collecting as it only gets more addicting and is endless in units and armies to portray in miniature.
Waterloo alone could keep you busy for a long time.

No wellington I do not have alot. When i said I had a few I really meant a few in its smallest from:eek: . I,ve only got 3. As munch as I love these figures I can,t see me getting one of them at $65 verses one K&C at about $25. But i still love these figures and will continue to pick up a few more in the future at the shows where i can hagle down the price a bit by maybe getting a few at once, but you just leaned what i consider a few :D You guys have got to see these figures at the shows to appreciate them as fubar could probably tell you. Fubar if the guy you saw at the show was a skinny guy with a bad russian accent by the name of aleksey dyako that was figurine emporiom. You guys with the extra cash for figures like this should also check out ebay there is a dealer called rene club that paints castings out in russia to a very high standard and sells them on ebay i have only one wellington before you ask :D I,ll post a picture so you guys can check out the great painting skill they have.

http://stores.ebay.com/Toy-Soldiers-of-ReneClub_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm This is the link to reneclub on ebay. They paint metal casts from various manafactures like andrea, metal models, and others and sell them on ebay, the shipping is high and they do not combine shipping so factor in a $10 shipping fee per figure when buying. Most are buy it now iteams but some go up for bid also but most bids get real high. I got lucky and got mine at $25 but most reach there buy it now price or higher.

At the show I spoke to the Russian gentleman (I think his name was Alexi) who was producing these figures, and he was under the impression that Andy was knocking off his figures as models for K&C Napoleonics. Well you know what they say, immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I have the ReneClub Drummer http://cgi.ebay.com/Soldiers-from-R...QitemZ6009554931QQcategoryZ2634QQcmdZViewItem and it to is a wonderful figure. Costs a little bit more than k&C and a little bit less than other Russian figures. It is shorter than K&C, being 54 and not 60mm, so, I just think of him as a young drummer boy. They, ReneClub, do make a variety of figures and seem to be very responsible in shipping and pricing. I do plan to get a few more of them. The TinBay figures look really interesting, especially their variety of poses and the square bases that seem to lend towards more compatible set ups. :) Michael

Good it will give me a chance to buy some American Revolutions sets which are really nice.....

Oh yes I soooo want to see some British calvary, artillery and a regiment of foot with the traditional stove pipe hats!!!!!
Hi Wellington

You may be resident expert on Napoleonics ... I am new into K&C and have got most of the current NAA line in production, incl the recently retired 71st.

You comment on the American Revolution set ... stricks a similar chord with me, as I can't seem to be able to get enough of redcoats, bluecoats, muskets and horses.

Anyway, would you know if AR/BR series are compatable in size to say the NAA Blackwatch/King's Legion. Sorry, I have no access to a brick & mortar dealer.

With my last order of Napoleonics, I bought a BR 38 a piper/drumer)... which is smaller than the NAA. I was wonder if this was one off, or is the entire AR/BR line smaller than the napoleonics?

Your observations will be helpful.

Rgds

PS. I am also new to this club. Facinating place.

From what I have seen they are the same size...if there was a difference it would be too small to worry about.

Thank you for sharing ... and the welcome.

Happy holidays.

Welcome to the forum Old Dragon always great to see another napoleonic collector come on board.

Thank you Tim for the kind welcome.

Yes, my main interest is in Napoleonics .. but I am already beginning to drool over other redcoats, muskets & cavalry types. The Anglo-French, the 1776 wars ... and the new Crimea is appealing too.

I have only a small collection now ... and am very conscious of difference in size/heights. Heightwise... can you tell which goes best with K&C's napoleonics :

1. K&C revolutionary wars Red & blue coats ?
2. Patriots 's young guard ?
3. John Jenkins' Anglo-French ?

Any pics will be greatly appreciated.

Well your talking about 3 different wars with a lot of years between them and would be very historicly out of place when mixed but if your using them on a self display and don,t care about this and your not tring to make any kind of historical diorama with them they are all around the same size. The patriots young guard being the biggest of the bunch being a slightly larger 1/30 scale with a noticable difference but could still be used together.
You can see a photo of the patriot napoleonic on side of a king and country napoleonic on the thread Patriot napoleonics for a side by side comparison.

I also like these other eras, mostly 19th century warfare but I just stick to my napoleonics becuase of space and money issues. I have a hard enough time keeping up with just the napoleonics.

Fishead

I have not gathered enough Napoleonics to make a "meaningful" dio. I am a singles collector and do not buy multiples (yet!). With the retirement of the 71st ... K&C did mention that a new British infantry line will be forthcoming. Any clue what that may be ... or how long a wait.

Meanwhile, I am getting distracted with all the other lines ... and the new pics of K&C's 1776 english cavalry & dismounted dragoons make them a must have. Haven't seen the wagon set yet ... but must be stunning.

Since I dont have mass numbers, I thought my display will feature the different wars in the age of the sword and muskets, not just Napoleonics.

WOW...A new British Line..hope its some more red coats.....................:D
Hope its a good Regiment of foot such as the 33rd...with Belgic Shakos.

Guess my Egyptians will sit alond side my Napoleonics.

New K&C Napoleonics... Well, this must be the right thread to post this...:) .
Just to say that in 2007 I'd love to get a Black Watch standard bearer with the Regiment's Colour ( we already have a figure with the King's Colour ) and also a drummer. That would really complete the lot for the Black Watch. Wounded or dead also make dioramas look much better ( sorry about that, must sound creepy, right? Just figures not real people:( ).
The King's German Legion looks fantastic, it certainly deserves some adding, standards included ( I just love flags:p ).
Please be patient oh provider, we know you never go wrong:) .
