Received the first two figures of Spanish guerillas. The standing figure is wonderful and can blend well with K&C's earlier Napoleonic releases.
The kneeling firing figure, however, is more towards the scale of WB and FL. I wonder what other collectors think. JJD has been very consistent in scale withing each series and this is the first time (albeit early in the release cycle for this series) that I have seen such a disparity. Of course collectors can chalk it off to the diversity of human statures in the real world!

Am still looking forward to my receiving these pieces .... just looking at previously released pics, the kneeling guerilla figure looks to be crouching particularly low and perhaps a one off. However, the pics of the first Portuguese Cazadores shows a more upright kneeling figure.

Appreciate if you have comparison pics with earlier K&C Naps or JJD's 1812 figures to share.

Check out the first painted pics of the Caçadores on another thread.....

they look great,

Here are two pics, that show the first two figures, and I do think that they match fine as of scale.
I received those yesterday and never thought of a scale issue between these two, while I was "inspecting" them.

These look great, I have just started collecting JJD and will definitely be getting these! {sm3}

The standing figure is holding a French musket, while the kneeling figure is firing a British brown bess. Comparing the 2 muskets, they are the same size as they would almost be. I'm guessing the kneeling figure is of a short, slight built man. No army or group of men have the same build, height, weight etc.

I got my figures yesterday ( via a friened who was in HK last week and visited John in his studio) and I have to agree about the kneeling figure, he is smaller stature than the standing man, but in proportion and looks like a teenager, so having different figure size if fine, so long as they have the same sized weapons, like these do.

I'm looking forward to more from this Napoleonic Range, especailly the Portuguese infantry.

Lovely figures - absolutely delightful, and a theme so different from the mainstream. Like others here, I am looking forward to the Cacadores. I'm also wondering if John will extend his specialty cavalry to perhaps a Spanish Regiment with those wonderful Andalusian Horses...the British Dragoons in the Jacobite series are just superb; a Regiment of Spaniards would be different and breathtaking. {bravo}}
