I thought K&C was to come out with two brand new ranges by the end of this year.
We have the navy figures for one, but did I miss something, what is the second range?
Gary

I think we are still waiting for the 2 new releases. I believe the Navy figures are not so much a new range but an add on for the SOHK range

I think andy is going to go with a toras bulba [yul brenner] and gunga din range.

Because of production problems, Andy said the second new range would probably be launched at the 2009 West Coaster.:)

One could see back in July that there was no way K&C would be able to pack another range into the time remaining in this year while still delivering on existing ranges as promised. Now that this has been confirmed, I think we've beaten this "new range" topic to death about 50 times over. It's all speculation until it's announced, and all the speculation does is build up useless hype that will inevitably lead to more disappointment among some folks as we've just had to sit through with the new sailor range.

Although what you say is probably true , its only natural that people will
speculate on what it may be on a toy soldier forum [chewing the fat as it where] because at the end of the day their is only so much about toy soldiers that can be discussed before it becomes ground hog day or nothing gets posted and the tumble weeds start blowing .

Yeah I suppose you're right. Which kind of sums up the state of the toy soldier industry right now, at least in terms of what's coming up of interest, or lack thereof.

Being predominantly a glossy collector I would personally love to see
some of the classic toy soldier subjects revisited in matte, Royal artillery mountain battery / royal navy landing party / Egypt sudan and Horse drawn artillery etc and all of the unique stuff that has appeared in gloss over many years .But I guess we will just have to wait until enough matte collectors tire of tigers and panthers etc etc.

I concur, would love to see more glossy figures return, in my case seeing Britains premier WW1 come back would be nice, or if K&C wants to take a stab at glossy I welcome it. My glossy figures just make me smile more when I see them, and I think we all need a little of that right now.

Toy Army workshop do superb Glossy WW1 figures.I'm very pleased they will be attending the London show again this year,i have a large collection of their figures and will hopefully add to it on the day. They make wonderful Vehicles,Guns and figures. With their figures they somehow manage to convey the realism of WW1 figs whilst retaining the old style of toy soldier.

I agree with canadian samurai, i just got some ted toy yankee cavalry and there is just something about a nice glossy figure that makes you smile.

I agree with Hawkeye and CS; I saw some Union Cavalry by Ted Toy at last weekend's East Coast show and, but for lack of funds, I would have purchased some. They were very nice.
