Hopefully John has taken on some additional sculptors? I can't imagine the poor guy starting yet another range when the Culloden and 1812 series are still so sparse and him being a one-man army? I don't think I'm anywhere near a full-on Highland charge yet, or a full British line. Same goes for 1812 - unless I want to repeat figures to fill it in. I did hear a while back about plans for artillery, cavalry etc. for both these ranges, so does a new line mean these will slow down? I don't blame the guy for wanting to move away from the BM or even the Quebec series now, but a whole new range? Hopefully Ticonderoga. At least stay within the FIW since so far he's the only one doing it all that well and in any depth? Cheers, ssorc1
Couldn't agree more....
poor guy....
the James Brown of sculpting....
"The Hardest Working Man in Show Biz"....
to turn out 8-12 figures a month...
every month like clockwork....
month in and month out...
now.....
throw in a couple of structures every couple of months...
I mean....John must log in some long hours at the sculpting table.
He is a one man dynamo for real.
True too....more 1812 (Brit side) St. Francis (both sides) and Jacobites (both sides) are needed.
Snow Shoes, B of M and Quebec are pretty much through....I think....except for some personal promises, some collector club figures and some celebrity figures.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new series in the next 1/2 year or so.
I think he once told me it takes him around 2 years research before he feels comfortable duplicating the historical accuracy of uniforms....so maybe another 6 months or a year and I think we might see his next endeavor.
I dunno....he does work hard and could finish some series soon at his pace.
