New Release: EZ8 Sherman With Sand Bag Set & Thrown Track!

TCS is pleased to start a massive pre-announcement roll for our third and final catalog of 2016. We’ve created loads of new goodies for the end of the year. We’re going back to our AFV section as it's so sold out. And what better to start off with than a new EZ8 Sherman. This is a never before produced set of very limited quantity.

This model combines not just a thrown track option but a sandbag kit option as well. Both option sets are included in the model and we’ve deliberately kept pricing tight so as to include as many collectors in on the model as possible.

The sandbag kit comes in three section and combines to be easily placed on the vehicle. The thrown track slips on and off and this unit comes with one command figure as well. We expect to sell quite a few as this tank is a three in one: “ home run “!:)

We’re expecting to ship this honey in November along with the myriad of other offerings set to follow in the coming days. So keep these eyes peeled!

Our Holiday catalog is set to ship in just a couple of weeks and has some great Holiday specials. Be sure to sign up for your free copy at: www.thecollectorsshowcase.com

Tally Hooo!

The sandbag option certainly gives this Sherman a distinctive look Brian. Always have liked the thrown track idea, the reason I have so many TCS models. Keep up the good work. Robin.

The weathering is very nicly done. Not too much; just right IMO.

What a great idea from TCS really like the sandbagged version well done Brian.

Nice looking Sherman, like the sand bag option along with thrown Track feature. Curious about the Pink color on the Tracks ?

very nice changes to the re-issue. Sherman trivia - the full steel frame to hold the sandbags was mostly seen in the Seventh US Army, especially the 14th Armored Division. Second, the rubber chevron track was rare in WW2 (if it even made it to the combat zones). 90% of the M4A3E8s had the all-steel track, the others had the steel chevron track.

If in fact this M3A4E8 is a reissue is it 1/28? Or has TCS reverted to 1/30 given the poor reception of the larger pieces by some collectors. It would be nice if it was compatable with the 1/30 Tiger I;
which was one of Brian's best pieces IMO.

I wish Brian would just stipulate that his figures and armor are 1/28 and be done with it. TCS would be in a position equivalent to First Legion; a Toy Soldier manufacturer making size comapatable figures and armor in a unique scale. Claiming a product is 60mm when it clearly and measurably is not just confuses customers. I have many TCS figures and pieces of armor which I really like and I can satisfactorly combine them with figures from Thomas Gunn and K&C. Unfortunatly TG and K&C armor will not work with TCS armor and TG armor is very good. I do believe I see indications of K&C and TG growing their armor incrementaly to be size compatable with their figures.

I had the original CS EZ Sherman and returned it because I felt it was oversized. But when I bought CS regular Sherman with long barrel ,it compared size wise to my KC EZ 8 Sherman and I was happy for the match up. Might wait for a collector who buys this Sherman and posts photos head to head with the KC one. No pressure for you all to perform..{sm4}Michael

Found an old comparison photo that I offered when the first EZ8 came out. This was against older KC and other tanks. In looking at these, I am pretty sure that this new EZ8 should match up to the new KC ones. Gotta believe the CS one is just a reissue and not a new upscaled sculpt..Michael

I recall from your original post that the Sherman in the center was a 1/30 RC tank; which would make the K&C Sherman 1/32 and the TCS Sherman about 1/28. The TCS 1/28 armor is the most size compatable with the TCS, K&C, and TG figures IMO. Amazing how the Toy Soldier market has split into two segments; 1/30 and 1/28. 1/32 WWII is now history with the demise of Conte, ONWTC, FOV et. al. and W. Britains shift to 60mm from 54mm.

Correct!^&grin

What scale are the new K&C M4A3E8s? The new K&C US Tanker figures are size compatable; thus either the M4 is 1/28 or the figures are 60mm. My bet is the K&C M4 has grown from 1/30 to 1/28 and is a compatable size with the new TCS M4.

You need to get your facts right WB WW2 range is 1/30 scale and FOV are still going strong ,also TCS AFV have always work well with KC so it not like anything changed

Until 2009 WB was marking their product boxes 54mm i.e 1/32. FOV went out of business in 2015. The tooling was purchased by a Hong Kong company; which may produce product sometime in the future; but has not as yet.

My facts are correct, you may wish to revise yours. FL marked their products as 54mm until recently and as they are the same size as WB many considered them to be 1/32. Much confusion about size exists with Toy Soldiers and continues because of false advertising; claiming products to be 60mm that are not!

WB latest WW2 figures that came out this year are 1/30 and FL as always been 1/30 scale as Matt has already told you more than once ,bit like you fact that Figarti and FOV are finished which is not the case:rolleyes2:

First legion created the confusion about their figure size by publishing the size as 54mm on their website. Only since Ken Osen aquired W. Britains has the figure size been stipulated on their website as 58-60mm for matt figures. Confusion reigns in the Toy Soldier market because some manufacturers refuse to acknowledge the actual measureable size of their figures. WB and FL have finally published or corrected their figure sizes; I wish the rest would too.
