New Release: Patton M20 Command Car!

TCS is at it again with all of our 1/30th scale AFV's that just seem to keep coming and coming! We are pleased to present the M20 Patton command car complete with our Patton figure that comes with a removable base. Let Old Blood & Guts motivate your troops. The M20 offered high speed and excellent mobility, along with a great degree of protection against small arms fire and shrapnel.

Our M20 comes complete with a turret interior, two full figure and all of the assorted accourtments that allow for no mistaking: 3rd Army has arrived! We've kept bucking up the weathering and added wear and tear. With a strictly limited edition this AFV will go quick. Due in in January we recommend a pre-order with your favorite dealer or us.

Tally Hoooo!

Brian

Brian...

Splendid, what a cracking set and a great price this will also be on the buy list what is the edition size?

That is a very nice release. One of the best WW II releases I've seen in quite a while. Your figures are getting better and better.

One word to the wise, however. When K & C issued a Patton Command Car several years ago, the Patton Estate brought suit for a share of the proceeds. It's not out of the realm of possibility that this could happen again.

First rate!:) I would hope Brian made some type of arraignment with the Patton people, ($), if not, grab 'em as fast as you can!

Maybe he got a release.

Maybe, he's already sorted this or, maybe they smelled money with K&C!!!!!

Brian, a very nice release. Looks first rate!

Don't go overboard with the weathering and wear-and-tear. This M20 was part of Patton's personal fleet and would have been kept in good order. He had Army level Ordnance maintenance units, and they, plus his motor pool staff, were tasked with keeping his vehicles clean and in good repair.

By the way, Patton had a "thing" about putting big long-trumpet air horns on his vehicles. I know at least one photo of his M20 shows them in place. Patton's 3/4 ton command car and jeep (and others?) had them.

Trivia - One source stated Patton would use his well marked vehicles with sirens and horns blazing while on his way forwards. After doing his inspection, meeting, or whatever, Patton would fly back to his HQ. The special "Patton vehicles" used would have their stars, etc covered and driven quietly back. That way his men only saw him moving forward. Rearward movement was not to be an option for Third Army!

PS - where's Willie?

That is a very fine looking vehicle and the sculpting on the figures is superb.
Great job.

I was wondering about the rights for Patton's name and likeness as I was told about K&Cs issue with the estate. Hopefully, will not be a problem for CS. Nice release.

As usual, Gary has some great suggestions and information regarding this very nice looking release. Since he brought it up, where is Willie? Will he be an add on "Bull Terrier Jumper Boost" release?

Hang Tough,

WOW! I already pre-ordered this one. With figarti and k&c prices forever rising, CS gives you a nice third option, with their line of vehicles. Their infantry isn't to shabby either. Well done.

I think I know what you mean but, many may see CS as a first option for those very reasons you state
Mitch

Have to agree Mitch CS are first choice for armour at the moment for me

And rightfully so.

Brian- fantastic job!! Excellent release!!

I think the Patton estate may have either approached Brian before when he did the large Patton figure or not have bothered either way I am sure Brian will be aware of this issue and I am sure its not that big of a problem
Mitch

Which part is the Bingo part? I remember the story too but did not want to bring it up. Would like to see the dog. Dog jumper, that would be great!

I believe Brian was referring to avoiding problems with the Patton estate. And I would love to see Willie...:)
