NEW RELEASE: Rome 43AD Catapault & Fighting Sets (1 Viewer)

Glad you like the pics. I feel your pain when you say you need to stay strong. I have had my eye on a couple of different lines that I have had to fight the urge off.

Im hoping the next release will bring some Romans carrying pilums since we haven't seen any yet.

I'm really annoyed that the Romans Charging set is sold out already - they've only been out for about 6 months. I will probably be able to find them somewhere but when it becomes hard I spend elsewhere. I really want to get all of this range but there needs to be time allowed to do so.

New advancing set coming! Due to the incredible popularity of the first set.:)

Cheers!

Brian promised a war elephant in a thread May last year, hopefully this centre piece to this series is in the pipeline for this year. This will cause a storm when it's announced. Exciting times ahead with TCS. Cheers, Robin.

I don't know if any elephants made it there. I have read that they were staged and ready to go but bad weather prevented the crossing. I have also read that 2 made it across but did not see any action. Ill have to read up on it a little more or maybe someone else has a better answer. Nonetheless a war elephant would definitely be something to see. Especially made CS style.

Thanks Brian. For my collecting so far I've been satisfied with getting just a few of the best poses for the eras I've been interested in. I've always been fascinated by the Romans, and their Celtic oponents are my favourite, so I decided that this would be the first range I would collect extensively. It sounds like I will get my fill of them. I'm very keen on the chariots!

Never thought about before, was not thinking about AD43, just Roman/war elephant went together. Being worried that we're not present, I viewed a DVD ROME rise and fall of an empire. Disc 2 invasion of Britain shows the emperor arriving after the initial battles and he brings elephants with him, shown gazing in the Britain forests. So I am satisfied elephants can be included in Brian's releases for this era, thank goodness. Cheers, Robin.

I read a novel years ago that had elerphants used in battle against British Celts. It was set subsequent to the initial invasion. It was written for teen readers, so I don't know whether the research for it was too rigorous. Even so, I don't see that the line needs to be restricted to the events of 43AD. The total subjugation of Britain took years.

I wasn't really refering to only 43AD. I just can't remember ever reading to much about elephants in Britannia. I will be starting a new book fairly soon that might shed some light on this. Regardless, if CS makes one I know I will want one. Better yet would be the chariot that you suggested. As long as it is made right.

Due to limited funds, despite an enormous interest in WW2 I haven't got any vehicles. But I will be making an exception for chariots. Indeed, I'd be keen to get 2 or 3 - which will hopefully be issued at a rate of only one per year! I've done a little research on them and they promise to be wonderful display pieces.
