NEW RELEASE: ROME 43ad SCORPION SET!

TCS throws down some serious ballista style action with our new Roman Scorpion set. We assigned our beloved Rome 43ad back to the factory that started it all and we love what we're seeing. They're taking our masters to a whole new level. Paint details enhanced and sharpened castings take these new Roman installments off the rails!

These two Romans are just waiting to fire up those ill behaved Brits. Why just look at the tension ready to be released on those naughty Barbarians. No doubt the first round will cause some serious soft tissue damage.

This release goes along with our prior announcements and is set to ship next month.

Keep those eyes peeled for another announcement real soon.

Beautiful set for my collection ^&grin

In the future, figures dismounted Union cavalry? U.S. cavalry in the Indian Wars?:salute::

Something different Brian, appears to be a great set, for Roman collectors a must have:salute::, Robin.

That' s great:salute:: CS doesn't fear making detailed and thin structures {bravo}}

Key here is that production is back at its original location.

Excellent mate great set definetly will be purchasing this one, have you thought about going back to the larger horse like the celtic chariot ( fabulous item ), the mounted romans on this release were small horses and the figures also did not go very well with the rest, hope this series contiues, all the best

I've just had a good look at mine and they look fine together to me. I tend though to place cavalry at the back of my displays so that probably helps. I really like the movement conveyed by the soldiers in this group. The horse poses are a bit stilted but they are very affordable compared to other manufacterers, so I am happy overall.

I'm really liking this line and am very intrigued about what might come next. It looks like its the Celts turn next!

I agree Collector showcase had fabulous ranges and prices affordable to most of us collectors unlike other brands, but I would like the sizes to remain the same and the bases of the horses nice and large like the early ones, for example Polish Lancers the detail, size of horse and base fantastic, the mounted romans were tiny, put it up against standard 54mm Britains still small or KC mounted figures. The celt chariot on the other hand was fantastic in detail and scale, hope to see a return to this scale, look forward to the scorpion and the new Civil war items

Looks like a nice set, BUT and the following comments on price are not about affordability, but comparison. Why does this cost $140 when the Catapult set with 3 figures was $139? The Elephants are $165? Makes no sense, this is a small weapon albeit detailed with 2 figures, thats $45 per figure and $50 for the weapon? Doesn't make sense to me, I get max $100 - $105.

You are right; I think this is the general marketing fashion today: whatever you buy you have to pay a minimum amount of money and each set has roughly the same rate. Like in a restaurant, now you pay the same rate for any dish....Sure a spaghetti dish or a steak can' t cost the same, but it happens! :p

Hi Brian , curious, is any new Romans / Barbarians coming out soon, or Napoleonics
all the best Trevor

The new roman chariot is great, horse normal large scale 54mm not like the mounted which were so small, CS also needs to work on the bases of the figures
make them larger , like their early civil war series items, great stands , better for support and visually improves the figures over all

all the best

The Scorpion is a fairly complicated piece. Lots of detail goes into assembly. The elephant is a wonderful piece but not so complicated. And it came out a number of years ago. Rising costs of doing business in China....? The Romans are looking really good...^&grin
