Firstly I want to thank all of our customers for the unbelievable support that they have given us. Through our infancy ( just three short years ago we started into the metal market ) to, today. Through your support we have weaned from a little cub to the growing business we are today.

So it is my great pleasure to formally announce that The Collectors Showcase will begin bi-monthly releases, effective, well …now! So you can expect even more of what you’ve been demanding of us. We’ll add another historical period right around the corner here, and I guess the sky is the limit. I’ll start posting “ Front Reports “ every 60 days here on this great forum. This will keep you guys in the loop as to our upcoming releases.

People have really been drawn to the innovation and animation they’ve seen in our vehicles as well as our figure sets. I’m getting dealer and customer inquiries like we’ve never seen before, so the word is out. And in a down economy! I guess we’re doing something right.

Now this all has certainly ruffled a few feathers. But hey nothing lasts forever, and that’s tough for other folks, sure. But new companies do come along with new technologies and ways to do things that are far more efficient than the traditional way and grow better products doing it. New ideas, innovations: It’s all part of the marketplace. You just can’t stop progress! It’s just a great pleasure to see how vibrant this market has recently become: I think we may have just a little to do with that.:)

What I’m most proud of is that it was all done by “ leading with revenue “. It’s the demand for the product that’s enabled us to move into other areas. Not with big dollops of cash, or trying to club the collector with massive releases.

We're positioned for incredible growth in 2009 and 2010. But not to worry: quality will always be number one hand in hand with modest pricing.

Thanks again, really: it’s you guys that have made our phenomenal success a reality. The customer is king and not the other way around, you prove it daily. You guys are the best!

Happy Collecting!

Brian

First off, you made me a believer by constantly upgrading the quality and variety of your product. You also listened ( instead of some mfg. to take it or leave it ) by brightening your color palette, getting your scale issues mostly resolved:eek: and going to the next level in figure animation. There will always be the nit pickers, who believe that they can produce the most perfect model, on their own. You have always been kind to respond to our pokes and earnest inquiries..I still would like your figures brightened up a notch, especially in the faces and skin tones, but I know the grimy ,dirty model bunch will shout me down..I do hope that you will venture into the allies side of armor and such...Till then, thanks, Michael

Brian,
I haven't collected any of your ranges yet as I only collect FIW (at the moment:p) but I am impressed with your figures and I think your Polish Lancers are great.Love the animation in your figures. The only thing I would suggest is that you make some 2 figure sets as it's a little hard to buy 3 figures sets at least it is for me at this time.

What are you doing! Get off your duff and get some goodies:D Our three figure sets are the price of some of our competitiors one or two figure sets, no excuses there:D

Brian

Make me some woodland indians,British regulars, and some French colonial marines and I will.:D:D.
Mark

The Polish Lancers are great but how about a batch of British 17th Lancers at Ulundi. Keep up the great work Brian, The 7pdrs were top notch!

HERE, HERE!!!
Brian, also could you call "the front report" SITREP instead? Having a monthly, bi-monthly or so newsletter is so important to really keep us customers ..."giddy"
Many Thanks,
Mike

That's great news Brian, and congrats on the successful growth of your fine endeavor. We are all winners because of it :)! Well, with your new bi-weekly release schedule announcement, please permit me to offer some ideas.....

1) Bring on some WW2 Allied vehicles! The Germans are threatening to over run the lessening Allied options. Just take a peak at the Figarti threads to see how raving popular their new Firefly is! We were all drooling for that one, and we are now all clamouring over one another trying to get our hands on it! Many attendees of the London show landed this beauty, and I am happy for each and every one of them! They deserve such a stellar production. I think you would do well with Allied armor, and just look at how well the K & C British landing craft is moving!

2) You hinted at a new line to be announced soon....my own selfish desires would very much enjoy....

a) The Peloponessian War!!! Ancient Athens and her Delian league allies vs the mighty Spartans and her Peloponessian league allies. This classic, titanic clash is begging for someone to immortalize it in miniature! Just look at how well Conte's metal Spartan sets faired! This war scenario has it all; absolutely classic battles, fathomless dramatic depth, implied betrayal, diametrical idealogical descrepancies ("oligarchical" [communist] Sparta / democratic Athens dichotomy), the legendary heroes and personalities (like Pericles, Lysander, and Demosthenes), massively relevant, let alone romantic & brutal clashes on sea & land, simultaneous beauty & sheer violence, and it goes on and on. I presented my ideas to Andy and Patrick of K & C too, but do not know if anything came of it. I think you'd have a nice seller on your hands if done on par w/ your current productions.

b) We need more Crusaders!!!!! Having one manufacturer producing Crusaders is simply not enough. They are popular, and the sell; enough said.

c) This might be a little "out there", but I would love to see someone take on the Trojan War, wooden horse and all!! It's certainly is a tale overflowing w/ brash and colorful individuals like Helen, Hector, Achilles, Ajax, Agamemnon, Odysseus, etc.... And most scholars now agree that Troy has been geographically located and that there are historical truths built into the legend. Fun stuff made funner by bringing it back to life in miniature!

Thanks Brian for contributing to our ability to stay young :)

I'd like to say that i too thought it was good that CS responded to both size and facial issues with their earlier figures, its a great sign when a company takes on board these issues.I wish Brian all the best with his new release rota. Can i also second what Joe said, some British armour from CS would be fantastic. If you could have all seen the Buzz the other week re the Firefly, you know there is a big market for CS to step into here.Yes we WW2 fans all love German stuff, but there is a big demand and such a wide scope for British and Allied AFV's and i feel CS could produce some classics,I await CS's release's with excitement!.

All the best

Rob

I am a collector of yankee cavalry in August and is only going to release a figure, I expect more cavalry in the future.

Well Brian, I know several people that are waiting to see just how much "the customers are kings"..................Stryker II

I've been a fan since your beginning, buying the modern US forces in Iraq, some of the 75mm SS sets, when the fleshtones were something to be worked on. I have some of the Arnhem sets and most recently, the Wheat's Tigers. Like everybody else who wants what they particularly like, I wish to collect a massive new campaign of WW2 Pacific Theater figures. Refer to the USMC thread - 220 plus posts by numerous people just waiting for a brave and bold new manufacturer to create them.

How about a Russian KVII? Go ahead I dare ya.;);) Any release date on the Polish Lancers?

Brian - Is there a way that you can package a set of painted figures with extra sets of arms that the collector can choose from? Or is there a simple way to pop arms off at the shoulder in order to change them myself? I did this with one of the Wheat's Tigers and it make out preety good, like a completely different piece now.

Thats a great idea and might be best for plastic. I just don't think its whats metal collectors are seeking. However your right all arms are jointed at the shoulder with round pins: should be easy to take off.

kind regards,

Brian
