NEW RELEASE SNEAK PEEK: Pershing Tank (1 Viewer)

Great looking model but I don't think the Pershing arrived in the ETO until after the Bulge, one of its first combats was seizing the bridge at Remagen. The winter version would be suitable for the US Marines in the Chosin Reservoir Campaign in Korea

You are right, the T26E3s didn't arrive until the actions at Remagen and the combat in Cologne, GE. No whitewashed T26E3s or M26s in WW2, and there is no record of snow "whitewash" being used in Korea, so the "winter" version is a delightful fantasy. Otherwise the tank looks pretty good. I'm glad that CS chose to use the all-steel track, more correct for WW2 and still used on some in Korea. That radio antenna base will have to go, however. The CS version looks HUGE (either 1/24th ot 18th scale antenna base).

Yes, on reflection, the availability, or the ability to apply either paint or whitewash in the sub-zero conditions prevailing around Chosin would make camouflaging its Pershings one of the very minor concerns of the Marines involved!
