Hi

I am struggling this year to find out whats new for 2009 in 1/32nd plastic figures. I know about Airfix and hat and their list of proposed releases, but does anyone out there know what else is coming from Italeri, A Call to Arms and others - I know that AIP are releasing a few sets of mounted WW1 and colonial cavalry.

I would suspect TSSD will have something new for either the West Coast show in March, if not then, the Texas show in May.

The Italeri 1/72 list is out (tropical german paratroops!) but no 1/32. I'm sure their infamous "news" leaflet will be out soon.

No news sets in the Italeri 2009 catalogue (except the arabs which are overdue from the 2008 catalogue). Thought you'd like to know. Not a good development btw. They released some very good sets for WWII in 1/72 and will do the same for 2009. It would be great to see them upscaled. perhaps they aren't big sellers.

Looks like some of the new Hat Napoleonics will hit the market in the next few weeks.
Cant wait to get stuck into them :D

Thats a real shame. The 1/72 lines shared by Italeri and Zveda are outstanding and those of us that prefer 1/32 would love to see them upscaled. In particular for myselfthe Ancients and Horse and Musket eras.Too bad.
But yes Ragnar old buddy, the Hat releases appear to be just around the corner and I am looking forward to the Legere as well as the Punic wars cavalry.

Have to agree Fubster Zevzda should get into the 1/32 market but i would not count out any Italeri releases this year.
Italeri released a set of 1/32 Templar Crusaders not that long ago but there. is no mention on there website ......by the way its only now six Cav in the box.
I guess downsizing has reached plastics

Hi - looks as if there is no new sets from Italeri as I cannot find any references for 2009 in 1/32nd scale. Anyone else know any different?

AIP have more than just the cavalry sets coming in 2009. There will be some more Colonial sets and the first sets in a new period for them. Interestingly the latter will be a tie-in with a couple of metal makers ranges that AIP will be doing in plastic.

The TSSD Plains Indian have already been flagged up elsewhere here. According to TSSD, Waterloo 1815 are doing some mounted Plains Indians later this year (so probably 2010!). I cannot get details of what ACTA are up to, but it is supposed to be a new period for them.

I read somewhere on tft that ACTA were about to release lancers for the zulu war. Italeri really hasn't got anything new in 1/32 for 2009 except for the Arabs that were to be released in 2008 to go with the Templars. Nothing in the new catalog or news flyer.

I think the AIP zulu range could be very nice but I prefer the ACTA sculpts. So those rumored lancers would be very welcome.

There's a post at TSSD under Quotes and Comments that may explain why new plastic sets are few and far between.

Hi Mike Blake

There is a future listing in 54mm.

Italeri's 6882 Arabs are out but I haven't seen a sprue yet. I did notice the set contains just 4 riders. the Templars have 6 and all the other older sets 8. What are they thinking over there??
