new Releases 2009 plastic 1/32nd (2 Viewers)

Hi

yes the listing for 54mm Victrix is interesting - I used to model the old Airfix 54mm Collectors series in the early 1990's and thought it would be a great idea if they would make multipose figures not just in WW2 but also for the Naps etc,,, Historex are another I can think of, although they can be rather static in posture if made straight up from the kit. There was a French firm S.E.G.O.M. based in France who made similar figures I understand, but I havent seen one example to date.
Be glad when this recession ends and production may get back to how it was or am I wishful thinking?

No, sorry, still no details! I keep trying through.

FWIW AIP have some good stuff to follow up the F&IW sets with - more surprises. Weston Toy Soldiers have plans for an exciting new set too, to complement other makers ranges ie plug a gap.

I have test shots of the second TSSD PLains Indian on foot set - very nice - but am embargoed on showing photos until 24 Sept (release at the Chicago show).

PS The email notification isn't working for me hemce the lact of response.

hi Mike

ok thanks for info - would be nice to see some ACTA stuff released, but I hope that if its cavalry then they make more than a single horse pose.

Hi

To be honest I am more bothered about size than number of poses. The figures have shrunk to 1/35th and are way too small for me.

Hi Mike

you are quite right - I cannot understand why they did this - when they brought out the Cuirassiers several years ago I bought one box to check them out with the intention of buying dozens of boxes to create a cavalry charge at Waterloo and then disappointment at the size changed my mind. Pity as they are well sculpted but underscale.

The future is as follows:
Tatyplast toys will make wobbly versions of Airfix British paratroopers in lime green.....Toyway will crush the Timpo moulds whilst laughing like lunatics and Britains will make excuses....
By the way I'm sick to the back teeth of American civil war, wild west and Gladiators, also this 'new' scale touted by TSSD, etc is good old fashioned 60mm, like Cherilea, Cresecent and Marx - completely and utterly useless if you collect 54mm figures.
