New Releases Dates (1 Viewer)

Mike,

Retired early was the word from John.

I would be suprise if they have not sold well in the last month, but before that with 750 sets to be manufactured collectors I am sure would be buy the 350 to 500 sets first and thinking they had time to get the 750 sets. I did anyway and missed out on some of the QB's I wanted.

You also said John had update his Jacobite photo's, can not see any new photo's. Web site still missing last couple of releases.

Andrew :)

I bought some QB's 6's,7's,and 20's, just because I liked them, I don't intend on collecting them.

The series is too big, well over 20 sets.

I posted this photo 2 weeks ago from John's website in another thread, JJ now shows this photo on his website.

I may be mistaken.

I thought he had started updating it already.

Mike,

QB-03 to 09 the 47th Regiment sets were retired by John last month. They are called up on Treefrog as retired and a number of other dealers have advised me of the same. They were to be 750 sets of each made but John has retired them early, no reason given. I assume it is problems with sales of them and restocking / manufacturing issues.

Was this retirement mentioned at the time, as I don't remember reading about it? Or was it a stealth retirement?

Pete

Pete,

To my knowledge it was not widely advertised and caught both collectors and dealers out. See your local dealer, he should be able to confirm the retirements.

I do not know for sure, but I think these photo's have been there for a while.

Andrew :)

Thanks Andrew.
Bit annoying I have to say - Like finding a concert has been cancelled when you turn up at the venue!

Pete,

As I said even the dealer were caught out.

You can still find most of the retired QB sets at different dealers. But QB-04 and QB-07 are becoming a little hard to find now.

Andrew :)

I'm surprised about QB-07, would have thought QB-06 would have gone first. Unless more 06s were produced.

Pete,

I think the QB-07's are going quick as they are the only Line Infantry for the 47th Regiment currently (unless John plans more) and as so if you want to do a advancing line display you will need a few sets. Unlike with the Flagbearer, Grenadiers, Wounded, Officer & Drummer and Sergeant & Corporal which one or two would do.

Andrew :)
