Hi Moe,
Which figure is the one I've highlighted?

PS Great set up!

Pete, that's ACE-09P, Jenkins' likeness of Herman Goering.

And thanks for your generous comment.:D

I've never asked John about this, but always suspected that he intended for those four GGC sets to be displayed as a whole. They just mesh together so seamlessly. However, sold as one set, they'd have set us back about $250 USD. Funny, but, four years ago, that might have been considered expensive by some collectors. One more pic of the Goering D.VII and the GGC sets:

Moe, love the set up in your picture. The White Goerring is a stunner.

With regards to the ground crew, you are right about how well they mesh together. Unfortunately John only had 2 of the 3 sets when Inwas there so with a bit of luck he'll have it when I pick up September's plane.

I've had a lot of fun re-arranging the ground crew and think other manufacturers could learn (copy) a thing or two from JJD's accessories provision.

For those of us who have neither the ability, inclination or time to create a full diorama with foliage, road and building, they offer an easy way to enhance the hobby.

-Amen, Brother!:salute::

I saw the "ACE-31, KNIGHTS OF THE SKIES, ALBATROS DIII" yesterday at Sierra. The plane is absolutely spectacular and one of the finest pieces I have ever seen in all my years of collecting.

First, let me apologize to Vicknor for poaching his pic that I'm using below:

I just wanted a visual to go along with my brief comments about this new release. The model is absolutely gorgeous "in the flesh." It's got it all. All of the enhancements that have been included in the newer releases are present in all their glory. The cockpit is nicely detailed, the bracing is of the new type. and it's got a gorgeous paint job. Another upgrade is related to the props. Jenkins has changed the propeller shaft to a new sort of assembly. It's almost as if the darn thing has bearings in it. That's just how nicely manufactured it is. IMO, this model represents as solid a commitment to quality as any that I've seen from a TS-maker. Hat's off to JJD for another quality production!:cool:

Hi,
Just received my Ace-31. VERY pleased with it. How did he (John) crack the lozenge camo hurdle?

Congratulations on the new acquisition, Pete. I would love to know how John cracked the lozenge camo riddle. Inquiring minds want to know. I would assume the answer has a JJD Top Secret rating that won't become public knowledge soon.:wink2:^&grin -- Al
