As I am depicting a later stage of the battle in my diorama, only a dead elephant would be a good elephant for me.

i was also wondering about the Howda in Rayan‘s illustration. I understood the Carthaginians did not use howdas on their African Forrest elephants.

You are correct, the smaller Forest Elephants would have been used more as scare tactics and battering rams to break up the Roman formations.
At Zama they were basically ineffective.

I'm disappointed as well. Possibly factory issues but maybe John can work his magic!

I heard the 88mm was on a boat................. I was thinking the other day where JJ King Tiger was? But there is a major difference between the 2 companies, J Jenkins are still releasing some great figures/sets every month. Keeping my credit card busy.
