THE CRUSADES
THE ALMORAVIDS

The Almoravids, also known as the Murabits, were a fundamentalist Islamic movement of the 11[SUP]th[/SUP] and 12[SUP]th[/SUP] Centuries. Founded by Ibn Yasin, in southern Morocco, they combined devotion to Islam with a fierce military tradition, and a desire to conquer. In 1070, the Almoravids established their capital city at Marrakesh, which at the time, was little more than a mosque in the desert surrounded by the tents of the faithful.

Feeling your pain brother, i do only collect the Black Uniforms, but it is a loss. Particularly bad as recently the Aztecs seemed to have ended as well. I am of an age where when one of these collections end it is like i am being dumped in a relationship........ Then again, as they say, there are plenty of fish in the sea or soldiers to collect, may move on the Tan versions? Still have the saxons/vikings [but do not know long, as you can only have so many in a shield wall and it not getting a bit samish], few more Rome's enemies to collectand the Trojan War range. Plus possibly the Phalanx. So plenty to go on with.

Pity ending as they are quality figures and a bit different, made nice grouping alone without the enemy.

John is not short on ideas so will not be short of things to spend my funds on.
