So, is this a D.VII F with the BMW engine? The engine detail appears different than that on the Goring replica.

Moe, it is uncertain whether this particular D-7 was a Fokker or an OAW product but it would seem it was an earlier model than the BMWed F model. Udet flew an F later in 1918 but the JJD model version is THOUGHT to be an OAW version. D-7 engine panel designs are a whole different area of study and can make one's head pop off trying to get them straight. -- Al

Hi Moe,
No idea re the engine type, but speaking to John on Sunday, he did say that the engine is more detailed than on the Goring model.
