Hi

Please find the new release schedule for the month of February. He has launched 2 new series this month One already announced is the Warof 1812 the new one and the long awaited one is the Raid on St Francis. Talking with John last night the upcoming Chinese new year is causing lots of delay's this year to release schedules, but it does every year. Hope you enjoy.

THE RAID ON St. FRANCIS 1759
Of all the episodes embraced within Robert Roger’s chequered career, none gained him greater fame than his 1759 raid upon the Abenaki village of St. Francis. It could be said to be the most incredible feat of the French and Indian War.
The three pronged attack to complete the conquest of French Canada was losing momentum. Wolfe had reached a stalemate at Quebec. Gage was making slow progress at Oswego on Lake Ontario, and Amherst, the Commander in Chief was at Crown point awaiting the construction of his fleet for his advance on Montreal.
The British needed a safe communication route to Wolfe, as well as a diversion to draw the French forces away from the siege at Quebec.
Major Robert Rogers’ raid on the notorious Abenaki Indian town of St. Francis, deep in French Canada, was the answer.
The American colonial New Englanders, who had long suffered at the hands of the raiding Abenaki from St. Francis, had good reasons to encourage this daring venture.
Where better to start the story of the Raid on St.Francis than at “Fort Number Four”. This was the outpost which marked the northern limit of British settlement in the fertile valley of the Connecticut River, and whose settlers lived in fear from the frequent raids from the Woodland Indians of the Abenaki tribe.

This month there will be the release of 2 sets of civilians and a Blockhouse.

Oh my, oh my; "wonderful things, I see wonderful things" :):):):):)
...to quote Howard Carter

Fantastic stuff as always! The new 1812 line should bring in some new JJ collectors. I can't get enough of that French-Indian line though.

I don't collect Jenkins but those block houses are just amazing.

All,

If you have a very close look at the photo's that came not with the release details you will see a few interesting things.

First Photo right hand side firing through wall - future militia release. Next to him looks to be another militia figure loading a rifle.

Second photo future wagon maybe.

In the second lot of photo's listed the last photo, the Indians at the front gate include the future release attacking Indians. In same photo wagon again.

Aussie Monty :)

The wagon maybe part of the future death of General Braddock set. Like this image.

Very, very, impressed with what I see of JJ products. Especially like the new civilians which I've just seen on the TF rivet.

Cheers

JJD gets better and better with each new series. The hard part is what series am I going to choose next as I can't get both (K&C, HB, Figarti and Zulus... has put pay to that). I initially was going to start with the 1812 series as I saw them in London but I think I'll go with the new series as the Civvies and the forthcoming stockade look very good.

I blame you all for getting me into JJD figures but I love my BOS sets. TMTerrain also gets a ticking off for selling them to me.:D

I'll probably check out the 1812 series again when the Brits appear. Who says I have the breaking strain of a KitKat?:D

Best Wishes

Andy

Did anyone hear if the Feb releases are on schedule? I have seen reports of some real nasty weather in China.

Will that deter the rounding up of dissidents? ;) Just a little joke Brad.

There's no such thing as dissidents here Combat, well, hmmm

, not for long anyway. Also just a little joke Brad.....in slightly bad taste granted.

We know at least one set of 1812 and probably two. Then a BOS. There are a couple of new indians on the JJ website that could go with the St. Francis set.

I hope we see the New Brunswick RoF in a few months for 1812. Maybe some 25th U.S. Infantry.

Great 1812 figures --

I received all the Feb. JJ sets. Really impressed with the civilians. I wasn't too sure about them. Still a little uncertain on the 1812. They are a little bland for my taste, but my experience is that the more JJ sets that are released the better they look when displayed.
