New releases for july 2010 (1 Viewer)

It's amazing how many campaigns some of these officers participated in,all over the world,in all climates, exposed to all manner of diseases plus some very tough enemies.

So true. I find this to be one of the fascinating aspects of the Victorian era. One can follow certain officers through the whole time period, in all the different campaigns. There always seems to be a familiar name in whatever campaign you choose to study. Just as an example, Sir Horace Smith-Dorrian can be followed right into WW1. It's a great attraction, IMO, to be able to trace the many persons through the many campaigns. -- Al

Will buy some and the gatling obviously ; but will this highlanders not have officer nor NCO ???

Great news for everyone coming to the London Show this weekend. John has been able to get us some boxes of the new Gordon Highlanders to us as well as some of the other new codes for July. I have done a small diorama for the Highlanders so come and see us in the usual spot and get involved in John's new range from the start.
I can't wait to get to get a few out of the boxes and displayed.

Somebody post some pictures of it from this weekend please...

is Durantye the one in the blue coat?
Mark

My guess was that Ensign Durantaye was in the blue coat, as that would be similar to Ensign Langy (SF-07) in the same series. Not sure 100% though.

I would have guessed that Durantaye was the figure in the blue coat...

but...if you look at the picture...and the accompanying text...reading and looking at the pictures from left to right...

I would now say Durantaye was the figure on the left (kneeling)...

the text under the pictures usually lists the characters in the photo from left to right...

so I would say Durantaye was the figure on the left...

Battle On Snowshoes 1758

2 French Officers,

Ensign Durantaye, and Cadet Richelieu,

I think the one in the blue coat is in last year's calender and I thought someone said that is Durantaye but I could be wrong on that.
