What fence Sammy, I am trying to scale over it and get my hands on this. Nice to see these photos, but I am already sold. Go John, deeper into WW11 territory I say. Robin.

What scale of figures do collectors expect this tank to fit in with? I know Sammy is a First Legion collector, and I think Robin goes with K&C.
John mentions a tank crew will be produced, but this monster will also need infantry support.

The new WB German infantry figures would probably look great with it.

Better with FL, WB and KP than K&C or TGM.

After much study of the scale issue over time and where it stands today, I can confidently say "who knows" :rolleyes2:

Figure sizes are not even consistent within manufacturers. FL, JJD and Figartti have different sizes between ranges and/or changed sizes on occasion. K&C is probably the most consistent for figure size(big) but have been the least consistent for scale of their WWI and WWII AFVs and vehicles. In my experience, FL and JJD figures have been sculpted to go with their accurately scaled 1:30 AFVs but that doesn't mean the FL and JJD figures are identical. K&C figures are big - about 1:28 scale but over time their vehicles have grown from 1:32 to 1:30 to 1:28. Figarti has shown big variances in figure and vehicle scales.. TCS is mostly 1:28 for figures and vehicles and TGM figures are 1:28 to go with K&C.

IMO it's far too late to worry about scale.

If push comes to shove, I am prepared to send this tank destroyer into battle as a lone killer.^&grin, Robin.

John mentioned in his write up article on this Jagd about it being with German units that fought in the Bulge so I have enough winter First Legion troops to go along with this tank if I choose to, not sure if John plans to add Infantry or not but either way, stand alone or diorama this beauty will be a welcomed addition to my collection.

John is very good at telling a story with his figures. So the future JJD crew with this tank will probably make an easy stand alone display.
That being said, I would also think some First Legion Germans would look great along side this highly detailed tank killer.
It's nice to have options. - :wink2:

Never have any quality issues with JJD thank goodness, do not want it arriving as in second photo.^&grin, Robin.

Production of these heavy Jagdpanzers hit their straps from October 1944 to January 1945 decreasing to April 1945 when the plant was over run by the Allies. For me, my use of this tank will be for the battle of the Bulge and defence of Berlin in my upcoming diorama's. Wish it had been present for my Arnhem dio's, guessing artistic license would have to come into play^&grin.

THE SECOND WORLD WAR
GERMAN ARMOUR

The Jagdpanther ( "hunting panther") was a tank destroyer built by Nazi Germany during World War II based on the chassis of the Panther tank. It entered service in 1944 during the later stages of the war on the Eastern and Western Fronts. The Jagdpanther combined the 8.8 cm KwK 43 cannon of the Tiger II and the characteristically excellent armor and suspension of the Panther chassis
Mounting the deadly 8.8 cm PaK 43/3 L/71 cannon and protected by well-sloped 80 mm frontal armor, the Jagdpanther proved its worth as the most fearsome German tank destroyer of the war. Although too few were produced to affect the outcome of the war, the Jagdpanther represented an ideal blend of lethality, armor protection, and mobility that could destroy any allied tank with ease.

schwere Panzerjäger-Abteilung 560, 1945,

Model Dimensions 11cm x 23cm x 8.5cm

The GA-01 Jagdpanther is painted in a factory tri-camo pattern and features a cannon barrel painted in factory heat resistant grey lacquer.

While the Jagdpanther's markings are historically accurate for numerous Jagdpanther units, this model is meant to represent a Jagdpanther from schwere Panzerjäger-Abteilung 560 (Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion 560). This German Heer (Army) unit was originally armed with Nashorn tank destroyers but converted to a mixed unit composed of one company of Jagdpanthers and two companies of Jagdpanzer IV L/70 tank destroyers in preparation for the Battle of the Bulge. It was attached to the 12. SS-Panzer Division "Hitlerjugend" and fought with this famous division in the final German offensives against the allies on both the West and East Fronts. First, against the Americans during the Battle of the Bulge and later in 1945 against the Russians during Operation Spring Awakening, the offensive near Lake Balaton in Hungary meant to relieve the siege of Budapest.

This first model represents a late production Jagdpanther Ausf. G1 as produced by Mühlenbau und Industrie A.G (MIAG) in October 1944, and includes interior detail, removable schürzen side armor panels, and opening crew hatches, engine compartment, and a choice of Grey or Camouflaged gun Barrell.

**Please note there will be several crew figures produced to accompany this model**

Just terrific! I can't wait to get one

Based on the JJD given measurements, it will be the same size as the K&C Jagdpather and slightly smaller than the TCS tank after doing the calculations. That said all 3 tanks should line up very nicely. Hoping to hold one in a couple of weeks which will be the final test. Robin.

A little more inspiration. Robin.

If John is going to do some WWII pieces, then I would really like to see him do a German 88mm gun (preferably for the winter camo). I think that would be a huge seller.

Brummbar tank is my choice, not often seen in our hobby, which would see John definitely interested as he likes to produce non mainstream models, which sets him apart from the others. Robin.
Jagdpanther first though.

I would like to see a 88 Gun as well but my understanding is that it's problematic to make and hard to ship intact to customers. It's fragile and companies that have made them found it hard to ship and many customers received them with pieces broken off. Britains have had one in the pipeline for a while now but there's no indication (if ever) when it will be released.

My first choice would be a Hanomg Halftrack, perhaps one of these as it hasn't been made by K&C, FL, TG, Figarti or CS. This is a Sd.Kfz. 251/9 Stummel with a 7.5cm Gun. Forces of Valour made a similar version (I have one) but FV are made in 1:32 scale. A Brummbar as Robin suggested would also be nice.

Got to toss my hat in the ring here and would love to see John try his hand at a Jagdpanther IV, being we already have the late war Jadgpanther this would be another addition to that same time frame.
