New Releases For March 2015 -- The Great War 1914-1918 (1 Viewer)

It's probably correct because for that price you're receiving only the artillery piece and not the figures. A couple of years ago when FL released their ACW artillery piece, it was similarly priced and for the same reasons.

My thoughts were that the gun seemed reasonably priced, for being the gun only, whereas I have been a little surprised that the very excellent, but small, Renault 17 was so expensive. Then again, I am just remembering the ONWTC French Renault tank, which came with 2 figures, costing me $115. But that was several years ago. Even the small monotone T-26'a had reached $178 so I guess the more detailed and complex camo of the R-17 meant a higher price was inevitable. At any rate, I am thrilled that the 75 mm gun is so well priced as multiples are in my future. I hope it doesn't sell out too fast.:wink2: -- Al

These First World War releases are top notch! Well done JJ. Hopefully, the Canadian Corps will get some attention soon.
Cheers,
Brendan

Beginning to worry about this series, just did a count on what I have, 80 with another 3 multiples, ouch, the expense of it all, but too nice to resist and me not collecting WW1, ha what a laugh. Robin.

I still limit my collecting to the French Indian War, but John's WWI figures are his best work.

I'm relieved I'm not collecting WWI. It would make me ill just thinking about the cost. However, the French 75 and 3 crew is a must have - so I'm in for those two items. I can use them in a 1940 setting and almost no one can spot the difference - not even me. ^&grin

Terry,

If you picked up K&C's 75mm from the "Fields of Battle" series,

you'd almost have a full troop of French guns to bring into action against the Germans {sm4}

Thanks Brendan. I have had the K&C 75mm for years. Fields of Battle is one of my favourite ranges. With help from Lancer, I'm just trying to sort out the differences in the gun and the uniforms between the WWI version and the K&C WWII colours. There are some big ones so while I am still getting the JJD set, they wouldn't look good together. I probably will just use the JJD as a stand alone impact piece.
